I've seen so much bad press about AC, but have only had good experiences with them myself.
Currently get good service from AC Kia in Aberdeen, despite the car being bought elsewhere.
I'm beginning to see another side to them here though, what a shambles.

This is my first new new car purchase and I feel let down by the company although the WLTP card has been played to an edge of its life and I’m calling them out for it as my friend in England ordered the same car but a month later the car was the same minus the pan roof and winter pack and he got his in January there so it’s just my dealer and my spec which is very frustrating

The only reason I went for se polo was for the insurance as I’m a fairly new driver and the r line set the cost up quite a lot from £634.85 in the se to £1450 for the r line plus I really liked the look of the torsby alloys which is not available on the sel or r line.

Get an email sent to some of the excellent car sourcing companies mentioned earlier in the thread and see if there's a car with your spec out there.
You never know, dealers sometimes order a fully loaded car for stock, or they may have a cancelled order.
I've got my fingers crossed you find one, as I'd love to read that you're telling AC to sod off.

PS the Torsby alloys are very smart, that's what I have on my car.
Had more compliments about the wheels on this car than any other car I've had.

Sorry, the bit I missed was, "if you are interested in that car (which you have not seen and can't see until we transfer it), then hand over a deposit (which will be almost or completely impossible for you to get back if you don't chose that car or any other of our stock), and we will transfer it!
Allowing her to go to view another suitable car almost locally would have removed any chance of her not taking it without placing down a deposit, in that instance, she bought it, I/she had to pay to get the crazy positive camber removed from one side, and then later find that it had one correct disc and one incorrect disc on the front, which I replaced with two new discs - one thing though, that was their car supermarket/multi marque used car outlet, eventually they ended up having a SEAT dealership which seems to have a useful workshop and parts department at the other end of town, just the sales side is shocking.

For brokers just go to their websites and fill in the online form, DriveTheDeal is another one, though no doubt there are more, no obligation to buy as all you will get is a list of offers from either them or directly from dealers. What I've found in general is, best deals come from furthest away dealers which is okay if slightly annoying. No charges as it is the brokers that get money for providing orders from dealers.

If nothing else, doing that will give you some prices including factory orders with discounts, and you can use these prices to twist the arm of your next dealers.

What I then did was to add on "travelling or inconvenience" money and created a word document which listed exactly the only car I wanted and my price - then handed that over to my local dealer, we shook hands 15 minutes later with no presales drivel to annoy me.

I did the same with our Clio some years back.
Got a 'drive the deal' print out and asked the local dealer to get as close as possible.
They did.

Unless you're after a BMW (coast2coast cars gives best discount on those,), Drivethedeal trumps everyone else on almost every other car.

I got my GTI+ through them, they put me in touch with the fleet arm of Listers VW Nuneaton, who gave me the choice of a fresh order or a pick of the car's coming through - with access to the whole group's incoming unallocated cars. Pm me if you want the name of the person I dealt with. Went direct to her for the second GTI+ we have on order.

So drove the deal I’d just carwow, I just don’t think there will be any cars in the uk with near the spec I’m after unfortunately

That’s what I did in late March. Turns out that is the best time to buy as dealers get a sales bonus at the end of March so they want to shift stock. Brokers prices usually include a finance discount which the dealer won’t match. My dealer told me to take out VW PCP to get a £500 discount then pay it off ASAP which I did. The total discount was £2,000. Broadspeed were cheapest at one point, it varies month by month. I went in Saturday, they told me I had a week to decide, so I signed on Sunday after visiting three VW dealers, and an Audi dealer who ignored me: I’m too old and ugly for them. The VW dealer I bought from had a two page list of new unregistered Polos, mostly stock spec. with the odd toy thrown in. It took a week for them to release the car to me.

I would cut my losses and walk away - not worth waiting all that time life is too short. Just go to a VW dealer and pick up an ex-demo SE or courtesy car, there are loads around they rotate the stock every few months. Might even get a better deal and recoup some losses. No point waiting until September.
