There is a clause like that on their website and in the brochures/price lists.
You're probably right.
In the mean time i found both a £100 "resonator delete pipe", basically a ready to fit pipe that goes in place of the resonator.
Interestingly enough there's also a full MIlltek resonated OPF-back system for £700 which I'm also considering.
Please do a before and after video

- I'm not to sure if I'm handy enough to do it myself or if that somehow ruins my warranty
My car won't be here until beginning of July. So it might be a while.
We probably have the same contract, seeing you're also from Denmark

Leaset gennem VW/Nordania?
About the warranty: I've read the contract and it clearly states that you're allowed to mount aftermarket parts as long as you
A) Keep the equipment on the car upon returning it.
or
B) Return the car to its factory condition before returning it.
It doesn't specify what equipment it does or doesn't include, so the way I see it, an exhaust is completely within reason. Obviously you can't do an ECU tune as this violates the law (in Denmark) but changing the exhaust with something there's even ECE-approved doesn't.
Now is it stupid to spend 6000kr/£700 on an exhaust on a car you dont own and only get to keep for 3 years. Yeah it probably is, so the reasonable thing is the resonator delete, and then having it done so it's atleast somewhat easy to return to factory spec if you get tired of the drone.

If someone buys a Milltek system, it will always be worth something as a used part.
It would only be money 'thrown away' if the owner was stupid enough to leave it on the car.

I think it still sounds okay. Yes, perhaps there isn’t the ‘pops & bangs’ of the pre-WLTP model, but it really doesn’t bother me at all. Perhaps I’m getting old
I’m collecting my 2019 GTI+ tomorrow (with GPF - so I’ll experience the sound first hand). Can’t wait - sleepless night ahead.....

Please report back with your experiences. In the meantime I'm convincing myselft to get the Milltek and just enjoy the hell out of the car for 3 years. (lease)

Mine is on the ramp now, for reference this is the before:

I didn't realise this but there is also a pre cat before the GPF so another noise killer. Cost me £90 to get it done.

Not sure how it will sound as recorded on a phone but definitely an improvement, the GPF kills any chance of DSG fart noise though as no unburnt fuel is getting through

I've noticed that the car has changed significantly after 1100 KM. It sounds more deep and rarely with a pop here and there at low speed. It is nothing compared to the pre OPF model, but it is something. It is more enjoyable now.

Wouldn't a Milltek be very close or similar to a resonator delete (sound wise)?

Has anyone tried putting a cheaper “resonator delete” pipe on a Polo GTi yet? I’m wondering what the best way to get my car sounding how it should is.
Struggling to find anyone in the UK that can help me out with it.
Anyone have any suggestions?
