So a few weeks back the evening before my first show in it, I borrowed my friend's garage (as it was raining all day and evening!) and fitted my new number genuine VW led rear number plate lights and new number plates. Went to the show the next morning, but sadly because of the weather I needed to wash it again when I got there, then just as I finished washing, drying and putting trim dressing on the tyres it rained hard for around 40 minutes!
I love the 6R BlueGT, maybe I would have bought it, the problem is that VW put it up for sale a few months after I bought my R-line.
Thanks for the pics!
It always rains after washing the car, even in Spain. I think the masters of the universe are evil pranksters, I even imagine them laughing.

So true! I washed it again on Sunday afternoon as it was filthy (especially with it being autumn) -I had been away the weekend before and the weekend before that didn't have time/it was raining. I get to work on Monday morning and a bird had left it's message on the roof and wheel arch!
Fitted new LED sidelights, LED DRL's, LED reversing light, Osram chrome indicators and Ring up to 5000k H7 headlight dipped and main beam bulbs:

Cleaned up the rear light recesses while the lights were out:
Unfortunately I had the bulb warning light come up on the clocks, so had to swap some lights around with the old ones until I found which ones were giving me the error, I found that it was the sidelight LED's which was annoying as I'd already bought a few sets of them-I found that two pairs of projector looking ones (as you can see the bulbs in the headlights I don't want them to look too noticeable or see too much of the yellow from the LED's) were too wide to fit in the sidelight recess and the other two pairs both gave errors even though they were not meant to.
I then bought some resisters but one of the bulbs that did work (but gave the error) now didn't work at all and the other pair worked, but now would not fit in the sidelight recess! Although the new bulb holder that came with the resister looked pretty much the same, there must have been a difference as now it wouldn't fit.
I tried quite a few of the sidelight LED bulbs that I had from a few years back (but more likely to give an bulb warning), some were a bit too loose, but most did not work at all. Only one worked, but really the design of it is not quite right and not bright enough.
I've ended up buying some original VW sidelight bulbs holders (that came with the wires) and these cost a surprising £18 something each! So it's either use these with the bulbs that worked but didn't quite before with the resisters but did originally or find some more LED bulbs that don't give an error!
Have you made any kind of modification to the Rain-Light-Sensor wiring when installing that mirror?
You're starting to scare me.
You need a VCDS cable (or similar diagnostic tool) urgently... to be able to operate correctly any type of electronic unit or wires that you install in the future in your BlueGT, otherwise, those electrical installations/retrofits/mods will not be successful.
Your BCM will have already detected and stored several faults when you installed the LED lights.

No change to the wiring as it was exactly the same. Have contacted someone locally about the VCDS scanning etc, but not had any response
