Thanks for the info!
Just the standard wheels whatever they are, I didn’t order it as such, it was one they had sitting.
Any other quick mods people would suggest?
I’ll do the bulbs, I've bought premium plates with 3D lettering...
It depends on your budget - I've seen a forum member who has modified a standard model with loads of fancy stuff, fitted the electronic dash / dials , you can do things with the coding OBD reader. Probably best leave engine stock, concentrate on visuals / interior. Someone also fitted a different steering wheel recently. What colour are you getting? Those alternative pamploma wheels do set it off well, you could be lucky and pick up a set on ebay in good condition.
Will be visual only as it’s just a town runaround, the days of fast cars are behind me, for a good few years anyway...
Getting Deep Pearl Black with DSG, cruise control, light & sight, parking sensors and rear view camera.
Think that’s it. Pick up tomorrow.
Will keep an eye out for the wheels.
I’ve noticed the VW mud guards are pretty expensive and there’s loads of knock-offs online... Are any of them any goo or just bite the bullet and go genuine?

Sounds like a decent spec, will be interested to hear view on DSG works with the engine, might go that way next time. Look forward to seeing photos.
Mud flaps are very expensive for what they are - not priced any official ones up I haven't noticed too much damage from stone chips and tar myself, went through a spate of tar spots but sometimes you get unlucky with roadworks. Do cringe when it's loose chippings and also gritting in winter..
If you do go down unofficial route it's just the fixing can be tricky and also making sure they don't catch the front wheels when on full lock.
Hope all goes well tomorrow with pick up - do a good check over make sure all is well and nothing missed, no need to be rushed even with the covid regulations.

My mum has a 2017 1.2 Tsi polo with the DSG and it’s absolutely fine, pretty punchy for a 1.2 actually and the new 1.0 is marginally more powerful (use that term loosely as it’s only 95 hp) so hopefully it’ll be ok.
The mud guards were really as I like the look, don’t think they really add much protection to be honest.
Cheers, will be home for a full detail anyway so not too bothered how it looks tomorrow!

Car collected, home, washed, waxed and sealed
So I’d mentioned changing the wheels when I was buying the car as there was another one for sale with the 17" Bonnevilles, however the salesman said no...
Turns out he’s swapped them. Absolute geezer move!
Really chuffed with the car! I’d post a photo if I knew how!

Looks good @shaunrazer. Be sure to take good car of those wheels as they’re diamond cut, so won’t be as durable in everyday use as wheels with a painted / powder coated finish - especially if you’re planning on keeping them on the car during the Scottish winter weather. Get some decent protection on them.

Looks like Wayne Manor - should be Batmobile out front, not a Polo.
