Is that similar to the 200sx S13? If so my mate has one on teamshock forum - he uses it on track days - very nice car indeed for that sort of thing!

David, yep it is. But i run the newer shape. The older S13 came with the CA18, not the SR20.

sorry about the hijacked thread.

very nice indeed - the S14a it seems. The only thing I dislike about the style is the curvey rear on a side profile shot.... do they do any aftermarket bumpers for them?

My friend has just tweaked his - spent 400 quid and now has 270bhp. I don't think there's any other car that is so cheap to increase the power with! I like em!

David I know what you mean, thats why I never photograph it from the back :lol: Check our website, we produced our own rear under spoiler to help and there are loads of different rear bumpers, we have quite a few different brands in stock.

diesel should be better with the stop-start shouldn't it? thought part of their efficiency was that they we'rent as thirsty as petrols when accelerating then stopping all the time / being run at full chat --- ie have best efficiency at full load.

then again petrol cars might be the same... (or something to do with the wider/flatter torque band?)

Back on diesels......

I'm running an '98 1.9D CL on lots of short runs mostly. I can get some longer running at weekends. I return about 50+MPG just doing a handful of miles. That's a standard, non-turbo, low pressure injection etc, etc job!

The highest economy figure that I've had was 63MPG :shock: whilst doing the long motorway stuff on holiday touring. Knocking up the miles well- at 126k now and it just keeps pulling!

I must say that I like the torque from the oily as opposed to petrol. You can still pop out of the junctions good enough too. Just don't go down the drag strip! :wink:

Should perhaps add that I'm running BioDiesel blend (veg oil 5%) straight from the forecourt. It's reckoned to lubricate better and so reduce wear (& repairs) compared to the new (straight) low sulphur fuels.

how fast was your 'cruise' though?

lol for me that would have to be a very solid 50mph or so :D

For that particular tankful, it may well have been 50/55 ish. However, more often on long runs it would be 65/70.

I'll admit it- I don't thrash my motors much these days, just now and again to clear it though (honest!)
