not to sound stupid (I just don't know) what is and where can u get penetrating oil from?

It's a fine oil - often in aerosol or squeezy cans (like 3 in 1 type cans) it helps to break the bond between nut and thread on the bolt - sometimes called release agent

Try and get "plus gas" rather than a generic non brnded stuff - it's a bit more expensive but has never failed me

Halfrauds is as good a place as any to start - their own brand stuff ain't bad if they haven't got stocks of "plus gas"

PLUSGAS is an absolute lifesaver!!

It's amazing what rusted up blobs of crud turn out to be nuts and bolts with a bit of PLUSGAS. The aerosol is more versatile for spraying upwards underneath the car etc.

I'd be very thankful if someone were to scan the article in and post it as i'll be doing mine next year. I live out in the sticks you see so my nearest WHSMITH is miles away!! :cry:

agree, use it on work on the heavy stuff! works a treat, well worth it! where can u get it from, n e ideas?

No worries - I think halfords stock locally rather than nationally so it might not be in everyone - I have seen it in Tescos once or twice but then we have a blody huge tescos and they always hav different stuff in to try and fill the shelves

I miss stuff posted too :wink:
