So its SE and Sport models for the reason that if VW had fitted this 50p device to E and S models they would have gone bankrupt... :x

Sorry, bit of sour grapes creeping in :)

interesting that you say that but if you think about it it might only be 50p but 50p x 1 million cars = hlf a million quid and that could be used to retrim an executives office:P of in all seriousness it could payt for a new machine of a new designer etc

They actually saved quide a few quid by leaving out little "gimmicks"...

First the Polos had a kind of light in the door.. then they replacdthem with reflectors, and then they left them out completetly, as well as the reading lights in the back.... and thats just the new Polo, I'm talking about....

Oh, I'm quite happy today... I always had a quite back mileage.. in the worst case only 31 mpg.... but when I came back from Birmingham today and checked it was 42 mpg :D

my car has the door reflectors and the lights over the back seats (which are actually very useful when you've got a 3yr old in the back!) The new map reading lights for each front seat are a welcome addition over the Mk V Polo too.

No light in the glove box or 12v outlet in the boot though :(

Boot light on it's way....
I'll be doing a how-to for anybody who wants a boot light... I know you do Nelson, I'll fit it for you when you come down this way if you want it? :)

I've found this topic and I wonder if Mole or Nelson could put here the DIY.

I don't have a multimeter so I can't search all the cables in the boot for the 12v suply.
