Head is now on - It's bloody hard to angle tighten the head bolts when the engine stand has wheels - my old home made one didn't have wheels and it was easy - mind you it was huge!!! - thats progress

All the timing chains are fitted and correctly set - I reckon about 4 hrs work should have it ready to go back in the car - yipee!!!

Anyway Piccy?

you know you're going to have to paint the entire car silver and gold to match, now, right?

That looks so good :D Although, I pity you the first time you lift the bonnet after a long, wet, dirty motorway trip in it  Very impressed though, really does look good.

Ooh, cunning :D Surely you still get a dirty blatter through the grille though? I always notice it on my head / rocker cover after a wet motorway trip, just turns brown with spray through the grille.

If it gets through the grill sure but it has to pass through the air con radiator and then the water coolant radiator - negotiate the fan shroud and then and only then will it hit the fan

If it gets past all that it'll make the engine dirty

Never gonna happen

Trust me it will stay this clean

Eep.. I thought it was a tricky job fitting my timing belt this afternoon, that thing must be hell with the engine in the car.. how many pulleys does it need?! Really is a monster of an engine...
