So why does it matter if you havnt got a rocker breather?

off a lupo as theres no dip in the centre and theres an indent for fuel pump. rocker Breather isnt a big issue iirc , various cars in the range didnt have them

Mk2Keel, thats wot iv been saying??? coz its such a nice head looks sweet without the breather hole, but DOES it need it, why is it on the later modles? and not the ones with the Aluminium heads?!

iirc its just an extra place to dump some preassure from the crankcase so if you leave it off and dont block it or the crankcase breather it should be fine

Well guys, its been done. Ive machined a breather out of brass and threaded it into the head and it looks well nice. Ill get some pics up soon for you to see. Ive always said if it was manufactured that way it must have a purpose.

yeah good point kris,
people modify things to improve their car which I strongly agree with. However I dont think I am wrong in saying that if its manufactured that way it must have a purpose other wise vdub would waste money on producing an extra part if it had no function.

true... so y wasnt there a breather in your rocker cover..... maybe because they did waste money on doing it, so they thought *balls to this... we'll leave it off* LOL
