Ok mate i will get on it. Really want to go to a few this year. Which ones do you tend to attend? Would love to see your car
neilGTI wrote:do you not find the harnesses restrictive ?
Not really mate. Find them really comfy to be fair. The only thing i don' t like is that you look like a bit of a t*t when driving to the shops
The standard belts also weigh a lot which i was very surprised at.
MalakianCigaro wrote:Looks spot on at that height mate, i'm not a fan of slamming either tbh.
Thanks mate glad you like it. Think i will be leaving it this height. Happy with the look and practicality

I did "dubs at the beach" in paignton last year which was amazing, and there's a meet the last sunday of every month up in taunton that gets a good turn out.

looks really good mate, May have to do that one this year

Iv joined up now so will keep an eye out. Let me know if you are heading to any.
Small Update today:
Been working on the polo all day today:
1st thing was to replace both CV boots. as i had torn them up when doing the suspension

So thats 4 in 6 months i have fitted
2nd thing was a full 4 wheel alignment. So the camber tracking etc is all correct now. However my front tires are a tad low on the inside now with all the negative camber i was running
So will be getting some new rubber soon.
Also ordered a rear upper strut brace (Thanks to LowFoon for the heads up with that one) However needs painting or powder coating. Haven't decided what to do with it yet.
Will update soon when it comes

Small Update:
FInally got some new rubber on the front. Went for the Toyo Proxes T1R's. Quite impressed with the grip so far. Well much better than the budget Event rubbish that it came with. And can't really complain at £40 each.
Rear upper strut brace is being sprayed up at the moment. Can't wait to get it in

That was at cost price through work though mate

What rubber have you got on the golf? Continental sport contacts?

Looking really good mate. Slightly jealous

I work at a mitsubishi garage as a mechanic when im off uni. My Uncle is the Boss so he got me these for cost

My Dad has got the contact 3s on his A4 and they were like £150 each!!!! Very good tire but makes you think when you corner hard. What tyres did you have on your 6N2 mate?

You know you want one
I may have to ask nicely when I need a set next!
Great tyre really reassuring grip in all conditions and very good in the corners.
Had T1Rs on the Polo to start with, then the last set (which are still almost brand new!) are conti sport contact 2s i think as 3s werent available in that size. Very expensive again, but worth it imo

You can't go wrong with a set of Toyo Proxes T1R's, probably the best affordable tyre on the market.
They are good looking tyres too

very attractive tyre wall haha
Yoko S Drives are quality too

Iye they are really good quality tyres
They last much longer than the Toyo tyres too so in terms of value for money the Yoko's are right up there
