You can check ebay if you can find exact part.
Sometime ago, I had seen similar on Vagtune. GermanDNA are could be useful. As both of them seem to be interesting mods.

You can check photos here : viewtopic.php?p=567244#p567244

However here are few for you:

Hi, thanks for sharing the images. I've been trying to sieve a Genuine part but no luck so far. It would be great if you could try and find the seller details and also share the price that you paid for it.

Regarding the dump Guard, I got it installed some time back on my car as well. The hex Bolts need to be welded into place. I hope that helps. Best would be to get it installed if at the ASC. Part plus installation was only 5k.

Happy new year!

Surprises with Range and Mileage

Completed a 1000KM odd trip. It had most of motorway, A-roads and some winding sections. Range kept changing like anything.
Even as being advised against filled tank blink full which won't let any vapors disappear :(
    • 40 Liter Petrol Filled (To already Quarter odd tank).
    • VW Connect App shows only 42 liter ;)-- wallet gets even more lighter
    • 4 People (Seat) Belted
    • Boot filled with many bags
    • Topped Nitrogen to 33 PSI in Front
    • Topped Nitrogen to 35 PSI in Rear
    • Car AC temperature set to 20 Degrees
    • Blower on 2-4 settings
    • Range showed 380 KM (Based on past running)
Fast forward and range jumped to 700 KM
195 KM traveled and fuel gauge came down by 1 marker.

At destination and few local running around trip showed 462 KM and Half Tank full/empty
VW Connect was nearly right here with 22 Liter fuel remaining.

Unlike traditional way of holding steering wheel, I rest my left elbow on armrest and right on door pad. As a result few fingers keep contact with steering wheel at bottom or In some cases only with right hand.
Though door has cloth I ended up with bruise. Here is how it looked next day.
    Image

I used Cruise extensively. (@Ciclo --Thanks for stalks and wires and @ciclo & @iichel -- Thanks for all answers to SOS during installation)
Though this is best function if you are highway cruiser, adaptive cruise would be even better.
As with whatever road conditions and some non disciplined drivers I ended up pressing brake and engaging cruise multiple times.

Finally the best range I observed.
    Image

    Overall consumption over 1000 KM
    Image

Observations related to cruise -- >
    • If you set cruise to a speed (eg 70 KM) then pressing + to increase it is slow as compared to pressing accelerator and setting cruise again
    • If you want to reduce set cruise -- again pressing - is relatively slow to pressing brake and slowing down.
    • If elevation changes you feel that you are traveling faster but speed does not change
    • Again using + or - changed by 1 KM or 2 KM -- Still not consistent for me :(
    One question related to cruise
What is recommended way to increase set cruise speed? eg 80KMPH to 90KMPH
    • -- > Increase with + button
    • -- > Press accelerator and set cruise again

For your question about the use of CCS:
You must find the way that best suits you and the traffic conditions.

    Levels:
1- Basic CCS (+/-1): Helps driving. It's great!
2- Improved CCS (+/-1, +/-10): Helps driving and is also fun. It's great x2!
    3- ACC: For distracted people.
    4- pACC: For tractors, + 3.
5- Travel Assist: To totally give up the fun of driving, +3, +4.

I say distracted people and not other qualifying adjectives because nowadays everyone is offended by everything.
Sometimes I test to do things of retarded people to know what it feels like.

It doesn't really matter what way you use I think, the difference, is measurable in seconds... I always use the CC buttons to set CC and don't touch the accelerator.

One more weekend and one more  tried.

This was tried on a private, closed road at odd time.

Put car in reverse and increased speed to 20+ KMPH and pressed Cruise Set Button
    But nothing happened

So increased speed to 30+ KMPH and pressed Cruise Set Button Again
    Still nothing happened

Test Completed -- Cruise Control does not work in Reverse :!:

Visited VW Showroom & Service Center with a friend for a friend. Most of time I had eyes on my tows, tight lipped, listened and observed.

Since we did not get an answer for few questions posting them here :
    • 1. Which OEM engine oil is used in VWs?
    502 00 and 503 00 as per service manual. -- >Anyone knows Shell? Mobile?
    • 2. How much quantity oil is needed?
    3.6 - 3.9 Liters --> why isn't there any fixed .

As the packaging is 1L or 4L -- we can keep the remaining one.

As far aftermarket -- there are many 5W 30 are marked as Fully Synthetic. (Please educate me) - it must be semi synthetic or synthetic blend?
    5W 40 is Fully Synthetic.
So forum users -- For 1.2 TSI 77KW -- could you please share which exact product you use or have used?
