The plastic trim/centre console was the hardest bit to do. There's 2 torx screws (1 in each footwell) which need removing and then theres 2 other bolts which you need a 10mm wrench for which you can see when you remove the gater. After this, pull the trim upwards starting from the rear. There's then 2 clips which attach this to the part where your drink and tray part is. The Climate Control and cigarette lighter is attached to the bit you remove, but there's enough slack in the wire to move the trim far enough. I detached the climate control for ease of manouverability??SP
Sorry if you're lost with my description, i'm not very good at describing things, but it is very easy!
I'll try and get some pics of just how little the stick now moves. Other than that it looks bog standard.
Dubpolo: You really should purchase one, they're ace and you would love it with the way you drive!

That Makes perfect sence M@Tuner! I knew about the two torx screws but was'nt sure where else it was attached. That will be a great help, thanks alot. Got a week off work at the end of the month so I'll have ago at fitting it then

Yeh seems good, althought i hav'nt driven far with it yet. Was alot easier too fit that it looks aswell.

Would screwing of your gear knob then cutting your gear stick down a bit, then putting your gear knob back on not just do the same job.

No. Because the B&M raises the Pivot point. The stick lenght is the same as it was before.

Ah but would doing both make the gear change even better? But then I guess raising the pivot point is shortening the length of stick!

I personally wouldnt shorten the stick, I'm not sure how well it would work after. I'll try and take a pic of it on my phone and post it up here later.

Ok i borrowed work 10billion megapixcel camera. (I've reduced the size)
The blue anodised bit you can see is the raised pivot point, is hard too see in the pics tho.
