Humbermart, that is curious - has left me feeling that I've no idea what I have got! Would be interested to hear if and when you have unraveled the mystery!

Re: New GTI

Pretty much decided on what I want with my new GTI. There are a few options left I have let to decide on. I am not sure whether I want to go for factory sat nav (discover nav) right from the factory as the option to have it fitted later here in the UK by the dealers is an option (kenwood/garmin) Oem nav. Anyone had this done or does anyone know what the different between the 2 is? I know that the factory option is £100 more expensive.

I am also not sure whether to spec the voice controls for nav and telephone. I assume the car already has a microphone somewhere as the car has Bluetooth as standard, I believe if the previous 6r has Bluetooth from factory it was just a simple coding change to enable voice controls, is this true for the 6c does anyone know? My other concern is if I don't go for factory nav and then spec voice controls and go for the dealer fitted nav option at a later date, is the voice control going to integrate with the kenwood system?

Finally I am unsure whether to spec the electronic climate control. Paying £380 to have the air kept at a constant temperature seems a lot to me considering it is only single zone climate control at that from what I have read? I'm sure it looks nicer within the cabin but is that worth £380?

I also notice that the GTI does not come with adaptive cruise control or city emergency braking, is that true? It seems the blueGT does and it seems weird that the GTI wouldn't.

I am also wondering whether to spec the sports performance pack. can someone give me advise on the aspects of this?

Sorry for all the questions!

£399 currently they are doing £80 of RRP.
I can remove it in a few minutes if I had too before any dealer might see

I have a confirmed build week for this week 12/10/2015.

I was just wondering how long you lot waited from confirmed build week - collection.

I have been told around 3-4 weeks, but just wondered if this is correct.

How is this going, I was thinking about getting one for my car when it arrives.

No one seems to have too much feedback the only one I have seen before you posted is from racechip: http://www.racechip.com/chiptuning/volk ... /index.php. The top end one seems to be a little better than the one you purchased and around the same price (euros to pounds).

I'm hoping that by the time mine has arrived that revo has released theres.

Sounds about right based on mine - build week 21st sept, collecting tomorrow. 3.5 weeks.

Still In Transit. VW Cust Services said it's still on its way so I assume it's not even at Emden yet

The City Of Sunderland is now in Grimsby - been in Sheerness and hopefully going on to Tyne so maybe they'll be on that and get dropped off somewhere. Otherwise it's going to be next week. Do they have to go via Emden?

Boj27, first of all I think you are making a great choice. Obviously whatever spec you choose is your personal choice. For me climate control is a waste of money if you can have air con. I have had climate on a previous car and yes it does look good but I don't think it really makes a difference to warrant the extra cost. On the sport button I've yet to hear from anyone who has tried a standard car vs one with the sport button. I don't have it and I'm not convinced it's worth it from what I've read especially if you have the manual. Fake exhaust noise in the cabin and a bouncy ride on anything other than a perfectly flat surface - yuk! If I'd wanted that kind of ride I would have bought a Fiesta ST! Seriously though there may be others who would recommend the sport button and may want to let you know what they think. On the media pack I don't have any views as I'm a technophobe.
