That does look spot on mouse! I paid roughly the same to have camber and wheel alignment sorted....TUT VW

I checked with VW some time back and they wanted £125 at my dealership for a complete suspension geometry check - alignment, tracking and camber as a far as I am aware.

Does anyone know anything about the damping on the Konigsports? I just got them to set it to normal, but is quite harsh on the dual carriageway over the slightest bumps. I can live with it but is there a better setting? (and I can get them to adjust it on Wednesday)

Pop your strut top caps off on the front suspension (the black plastic caps over the tops of the suspension turrets) and there is a small pin at the top of each coilover. You'll need the adjuster that you should have gotten with the coilovers - a white plastic thing with 'Koni' stamped on it - and this fits on the top of that pin. Then twist in the direction as labelled on the adjuster to soften or harden the damper! Just try and keep both left and right coilovers to as similar a setting as possible.

You can make adjustments on the car without having to do anything other than taking off the strut top caps

Well the car is still broken. The garage that looked at it said they would look at all possibilities, but if not they'd call in their last resort...some really good electrical company in Aberdeen (but they charge £100 before they look at the car ). Well they didn't find out what was wrong so looks like I'm gonna be without a car for another week and at least £100 out of pocket

That's a bugger , sounds like a tricky one, it's not a fault with the ECU is it I know we've had problems with ECU's in the past (not on a Polo GTi, but stil a VW)?

Basically it's something to do with fuelling and it's electrical. Now with the new year weekend looks like I won't get the car for at least another week. Definately take the power for granted...the Mk7 is so slow!

Well finally got my car back. It was the alarm apparently causing problems, something about the original interfering with the aftermarket one, so they had to bypass circuits to allow the fuel pump to activate. Cost me £135 and its still not sorted. Got in the car, the clutch feels very heavy (maybe I'm used to the Mk7). Got home and found my passenger wheel has been badly kerbed with even a chunk out the tyre

i would kick off with the garage if they have damaged your wheel and tyre!

They are denying it sort of. They got other guys in to fix the electrical problem. One of them better be f*****g paying for it. I spent 6 hours cleaning the wheels on the day the car broke. I have about 10 witnesses who pushed the car to see it didn't hit a kerb, and photos too

i would be screwing....hope it all gets sortd
