To dis-lodge your coilies, position the C spanner in the correct place, and give it a wake with the hammer. Works everytime for me!

Cheers mate, it does look better doesn't it. Lowered the front a tad too now its got a bit of a stance to it, sadly its got that puncture so if you look carefully you can see the front is sloping to the left

Actually can you do me a favour? Have a flick through your pics to find some images of your seatbelts (I had a peek at them on the bristol meet but forgot to ask you about them) and find some pics? I'm wanted a set for this (they will look good with the leathers) but unsure wether they can be after fitted? I don't see why not but worth asking. Cheers man

Cheers :)

Going to paint the front calipers today, anyone got experience with Folitech Caliper paint?

Tyre doesn't have a puncture, its leaking air from the rear side of the wheel. Hopefully be able to get it resealed fairly cheaply, and i'm on the lookout for BBS colour concepts or RZ's :P

Scrub the calipers right down, use some white spirit and various wheel cleaners to get rid of the brake dust, file and sand the rust back.

You may want to mask up your pads and discs etc,, then apply a 3 or so coats over the space of a few hours. Apply the first, then leave to dry for an hour or so (it's brush paint right?)

I've got some brake cleaner so i'll scrub them down with a wire brush, spray it in that stuff then sand away and excess dust/rust. I'll try to mask up the pads and disks, do you have any pics of you'res tim to see what parts I should be painting and what I shouldm't? Cheers again mate

You want to get the whole caliper, and carrier which are located in this pic.

Avoid the pad obviously, and the pad on the other side of the disc also.

Points A and B are where the carrier bolt onto the caliper, they may be some sort of flexi plastic around here hiding the thread of the bolt that attaches them, if they are is avoid it also.

At the back the caliper joins to the piston, I wouldn't bother painting all this also, just mask off a neat line where you plan to stop.

If your still a bit confused get a pic of your exact setup and I'll let you know.

Cool that'll do cheers Tim, i'm off to get that paint. Odd how Halfords in Bromsgrove didn't have it on shelf yet when I went online I just reserved it for pickup in an hour! Got the leaking tyre sorted for £15, sealed and balanced. Sadly they wont put a 195 tyre on a 205 rim :x

That's ridiculous, it's really not a specialist job!! Don't go with any shop that is unsure about it though as I said.

But it shouldn't be that hard to find a garage that does it, as 6.5 is not necessarily classified as a 205 width wheel, they come 195/45 as standard on all RXii 16"s, you've just gotta upgrade to the 40s after that.
