Rear Upper strut brace painted and fitted

Has made more a difference than i expected. However it now makes the front end seem a lot more sloppy now, so i am thinking of getting a front OMP one now to balance it out. few pictures. Looks like a little rally car inside now
Shame its not a 3 door, would look better i think

Looking good Matt

nice choice having it sprayed red too
How much did it cost you mate? and does the guy on Club Polo sell them on a regular basis?

Id be interested to see if those race harnesses pass an MOT lol
As for the brace, it looks good.
OMP upper front makes a world of difference - totally recommend it.
The only problem with the rear struts being bolted together is it doesnt help the chassis a great deal. More so, it prevents the struts from moving in their bushes, therefore making axle movement stiffer.

Cheers Ben, glad you like it. Well the bar was £40 and the spray up..... not sure yet. It's a family friend so i doubt it is a lot. Its flash red the same as the car

Think the guy on club polo does do quite a few of them. Think there is a new list being filled at the moment.

Ha ha thanks alex. Iv asked a few of the MOT testers at work and they say it shouldn't be a problem. They are the road legal ones. The 4 points with the swivel buckels however are not street legal but are safer

How did they come up with that one? lol
Defiantly think an upper front OMP is near the top of the list

Looking very nice mate
What plans have you got for wheels? you going to stick with the standard splits or change for some wide boys?

Cheers Ben
Well I'm thinking of keeping the splits but get them refurbed and some spacage on them. Maybe 15 - 20mm on the back and 5 on the front.
I was however thinking about getting some 16' BBS RCs like the ones on the 25th anniversary golf. Think they would look quite good. But for now get the RXIIs spruced up for summer

Sounds good matt
I'm liking the idea of the spacers, got the same planned for mine this year too.
15-20mm rears and 5-10mm on the fronts, i'm going for slightly wider wheels too with a set of Ronal LS rims which are 15x7J.
The RXII's look awesome anyway and keep the OEM look which is cool.
Ordered myself a Rear strut brace today off clubpolo

he's preparing a new batch so I look forward to receiving that one.
Already got an OMP front brace so I just need a Whiteline Rear ARB to complete the handling
Here's a link to the ARB's if your interested in getting them

I thought the LS' were 7.5J??
Car looks gleaming dude, SRP is my favorite autoglym product. You going to do the RX2's the original colour or something different like i've done?

Your right dude they are

my bad
195/45/15's should give them a nice look, slight stretch but nothing drastic

Cheers Ben, i have been looking at these but first i think i will sort some spacers, the RXIIs and an exhaust out. Oh and a front OMP upper because it looks cool

Would be interesting to see how much more difference those ARBs will make. Probably a lot. Good news about the Club Polo brace. What colour are you going to go for? I have noticed quite a noticeable difference with it fitted. I paid £20 for the painting in the end which i don't think is too bad. Some Ronal LS alloys will look awesome mate

Think i will do them in the standard colour mate. Have been thinking of doing something like yours but i don't think it would work as good with a red car. I don't think full black looks very nice either. Thanks for the praise mate really appreciate it

SRP is really good stuff. The High definition wax is also really good. Seems to last quite well.

Ha ha ok mate i'll remember that for the future, but not planning on getting rid of them any time soon
