Yeah it's better than Christmas that's for sure haha

Build date was 21st Sep but had notification it I was in transit on 22nd Sep.

I could of picked it up weekend just gone, but I was away for work so couldn't. What extras did you go for, by sounds of it makes a difference if you have auto rather than manual etc as well.

Nearly there!.Very similar spec to mine,except i didn't spec sport button.You'll love it,well worth the wait

Dunno if this helps anyone but mine was build week 05/10 and it has just changed to arrive in the UK today even tho i rang my dealer yesterday and they said 3 weeks

I had the same build date mate , and mine is in emden .. Strange one [emoji53] wish mine was in the uk 2day ...

Its strange because mine was due to be built at 05/10 like yours but obviously got fast tracked and was built the week before as it turned to in transit on the 05/10. If it makes it better, once the car is in it's way - the time files!

Did anyone get on the tracker 3 different stages for stage 5? On a Golf forum someone said the stages are:

5a: in transit:left the factory - on it's way to Emden. 

5b: in transit:shipping - at Emden waiting a boat. Normally received 48 hours after 5a.

5c: in transit:nearly here - on boat to either Grimsby, Tyne or Sheerness depending on dealer location.  At this stage VW can give you the name of the boat, but it sometimes skips this stage.  Now states 10 days to dealer.

But by the sounds of it on here most peoples have gone from In Transit, Left the Factory straight to in the UK.

Yep, thanks again for your help and info tracking it. Quite fascinating seeing the number of ships in the seas at any one point!

Finally got mine on Monday! Very impressed, cracking little car. Amazing how quickly it heats up from cold and the LED lights are particularly good. The pull on every gear just keeps putting a smile on my face, along with the noise [emoji16] here she is in the flesh.
