Just had my insurance quote for my 1.4 16valve £775 fully comp
37 years old, full no claims, no convictions, based on a standard polo with no mods.

What is everyone else paying as i thought it is abit steep! May end up selling my boavista rims as they wanna charge me extra! plus if i lower it will be even more. :?

Just get hunting around mate. I'm 25 ,7years no claims, but I've got a sp30 and in10 on my licence. (Silly me). And mines about £800 if I remember, and that's with business use.

Get on confused or other web sites. Direct line are pretty good too. It would seem like that's quite high. All you can do is hunt around. Best of luck.

I'm with quotemehappy and I pay £400 for a Rochdale postcode, 39, 11 year NCB, no convictions etc... Yours does seem a bit steep, did you try VW? They were cheaper than some main rivals. When messing about I set it to my sisters postcode in Scotland and set 'parked away from home' for where the car was parked at night and it came upto £180, I got happy until I read that they can check electoral rolls

Go with a specialist insurer they normal drop the price with mods. HIC are quite good.

Quotes i got were good under 1000 that was for me and the missus, air ride, wheels and a few other mods but that was before my points! so now am just gonna bring my own KY jelly

700 quid fully comp on my GTI, 24, 5 yrs NCB, and in the Oldham postcode. Ive always found admiral and elephant by far the cheapest.

Thank you for the complement :D if you mean the big light boards in the centre light i got 2 of these and modified them to work off the one dummy bulb

E-bay link copy and paste this in e-bay 360207553106 all the other bulbs are also off e-bay. The interior lights are a million times more useful than they were. Great for dogging  lol hahaha only messin.

Thanks, so just a case of joining the 2 wires together one I presume? Yeah wouldn't use them much but definitely would come in handy having them brighter :-)

The lights come on when you open the doors so you will use them all the time. Also great when you drop something down the side of the chair. They are really easy to join up.

Well got in my car this morning and my heater decided to pack up! I had the display working but no blow! After getting to work i phoned VW and they said book it in! I already had my service booked for march so i asked could it be brought forward, yep no problem. So i thought i would search the net to see which is the heater fuse, I went out and found the 15amp fuse had blown. Went back into my parts department and raided a fuse. fitted and hey presto i have heaters. Im still gonna get them to check it out though, may pop the blown fuse back in on the day.
