I've asked VW, and they say it can't be done... Yet.

I hardly ever use mine. Think it was part of a pack if I remember rightly otherwise couldn't be asked with it in the main.

Have only seen one on the road (other than mine) since they came out where I live in Guildford, Surrey..

Am considering getting the resonator removed next week - did it on my 6R GTI and it made a nice difference. Anyone else considering any exhaust mods?

Spoke to Scorpion and they offered me a free cat back if they could use my car for development but wanted it for 2 weeks - no way am I giving someone my car for 2 weeks!

Motorpoint has just had a few brand-new Polo GTIs in different specs delivered to most of their outlets around the country, available for less than dealer and CarWow prices. Available in good specs for a very good price as they are from the European market.
Used them previously and they are a very good to buy from.
Few links:
3 door: http://mobile.motorpoint.co.uk/used-car ... 0gti%203dr
3 door Sat Nav DSG: http://mobile.motorpoint.co.uk/used-car ... 0%5Bnav%5D
5 door black: http://mobile.motorpoint.co.uk/used-car ... 0gti%205dr
5 door DSG: http://mobile.motorpoint.co.uk/used-car ... 05dr%20dsg

They also have five 3 door Sat Nav's in and four 5 door Sat Nav GTI's (if that makes sense!). Would have posted these but the links would not work.

Some good savings there to be fair.

Good savings, but you can still do better from a main dealer if you take VW finance and get the deposit contribution.

I managed a discount of over £3k on mine (see Drivethedeal)

However these at Motorpoint are sat there waiting for delivery, so no months of waiting and tracking ships from Santander !

They do look good value, but there will be spec differences compared to the UK spec.

Looking at the pictures of these cars on Auto Trader, the headlight reflectors suggest they have halogen and not LED headlights (LED headlights are an option on European Polo GTI's). Euro warranty is also 2 years, and not 3 years like in the UK. You may take a hit when you come to sell, especially if you're looking to part-exchange, as dealers will use the non-UK spec as a reason to offer less.

Bearing in mind the £15,999 Euro spec GTI does include cruise control, climate control, arm rest and parking sensors as standard. If it had the LED lights then it would be the bargain of the century.
Reckon these will sell quickly though as people simply won't want to wait 3-6 months longer for a car that is likely to be of a same if not better value for money! If sold privately at re-sale it should be worth more due to 'options'.

Don't forget you'd have to add another £130 for the road tax that is included in dealer prices and they used to add another fee on top for 'admin' but not sure if they still do.

Other than a quick delivery I can't see any advantage.

Even with the spec you can get a better deal from the main dealers if you haggle.

Maybe most people don't realise the dealers will knock 3 grand off if you push them ?? !!

Can you get LED foglights for this? Noticed this morning how rubbish my normal coloured foglights look underneath the LED headlights.
