kartsan, you must enable Byte17 Bit7 in the BCM.

Your current BCM coding:
A0B079382E212012002800003C2B84940000410F60040000300000000000
New BCM coding:
A0B079382E212012002800003C2B84940080410F60040000300000000000

The ECU coding is fine.
CCS faults are always reflected in the engine unit.

Thanks man! You must be from outer space since CC started to rock right after changing that bit. :D

Just out of curiosity, what is that bit anyway and why my VCDS does not recognise it?

iichel wrote: Tue Aug 01, 2017 5:46 pm As far as I can see, the black-yellow cable must run to the steering column combi switch (2 connectors), to the BCM (1 connector) and ECU (1 connector).

I'm struggling a bit to visualize the e-boxes etc on the T5 GP.
But can you somehow verify that the black-yellow cable goes to the ECU connector, the one with 96 pins, and goes into slot number 64.
--> https://drive.google.com/open?id=0BxYPV ... kh2SkxrYlE

it may be indirectly routed, since I'm not getting this fuse/relay stuff yet.
Thanks for your contribution. I already put everything back on ECU side so it would have been a big labour to open everything again. It is good that it was only a coding error as ciclo pointed out so I don't need to open ECU box now.

Anyways, I followed that VAG document like a slave to make everything right, even that part in the ECU box where you should find that connector for CC wire. I reasoned that the other side of the connector should go to slot number 64 because the wire colour is right and there is no wire in the other side. So I guessed this must be the slot they talk about in the VAG document and I pushed CC wire there.

On the other hand, it took awhile because that connector was the lowest connector in the connector pile and you can't reach it unless you open all the connectors over that CC connector. After reading this forum I started to think it could have been easier to just open ECU connector, remove wire from that slot number 64 and put CC wire there.

In general, after reading this thread, I'd say T5 2010- CC wiring corresponds almost exactly to Polo wirings I've seen. That not a big wonder I guess because the same BCM's are used there. Probably ECU side differ?

It's because of your VCDS version 15...., my recommendation is to buy the original version, ... for the benefit of all (you can be absolutely sure of this).

Enjoy your CCS, it is a pleasure to drive with it. :D

You have a point there and now I realised what issues may arise with that cheap clone of mine. Real ones seem to start from $199 now and that's not too bad anymore.

Glad you solved it. The Polo 6R and the T5 GP and T6 share a lot of components. Many of our mods are done partially because the similarities (i.e. the T6 high beam assist).

USD199 is not bad for such a powerful diagnostic tool.

Some time ago I record the video, which could help if someone have some issues with CCS. The first step, checking if the CCS buttons has the connection to the BCM.
Of course it is not the full diagnostic manual, but could be helpful.

Hi, i own a Polo 1.2 GT TSI in India. Mine is a 2013 model without CC. I have installed a GTI steering wheel with paddles and MFD buttons on right side now. But since i also have MFD buttons in the right stalk, the steering buttons don't work. Will installing the stalk 6R0 953 507 B activate CC in my car and also make the GTI steering wheel MFD buttons work ? Also, since my car comes with ESP, will these stalks work with the stock ring ? Thanks for the help.
[Sorry to repeat the question here Ciclo, as the link in your post didn't work :-( ]

For the ring, we have to know the VIN of your 6R.

VCDS autoscan?

Thanks for the links.

This is the VIN. WVWK13605ET033618.

Don't have the VCDS autoscan for now.

Your 6R IND is a 'E' model year, ie 2014.

WVWK13605ET033618 (tenth digit)

Coincidentally in 2014 and for the 6R sold in India there was an update of the rings (for European models was earlier).

6R IND: old models of rings <--- 03/02/2014 ---> new models of rings.

To avoid making a mistake in buying the new stalks, you can buy the complete set of new models (ring and stalks)

For example, this would be perfect and everything would work perfectly on your 6R IND:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Original-VW ... 1438.l2649

It is also necessary the wiring for CCS, look in aliexpress.

You need the VCDS to:
- Activate the CCS in the engine unit and BCM.
- Perform the basic setting of new ring (G85) in the ABS unit.

Both are very simple operations.

1) I've done CCS retrofit on my car (1.4TSI 90kW +x87 BCM) Can confirm that ecu byte 5 bit 5 + BCM works for me. Worth noting is that CC icon shows when driving, so dont sorry that it didnt appear just after coding it.

After research looks like ACC is also possible. For that radar from e.g. golf or octavia would have to be connected. Engine ECU should support that (byte 5 bit 6 for manual and Byte 5 bit5+ bit6 for dsg (not tested, found on other model forums!!!) when retrofiting radar is connected to can bus and stalks are replaced, sometimes abs unit also have to be changed.
Interesting is also ecu byte 1, set to 25 in my car. When decoded with info form other models will mean automatic drive away short stop active, automatic drive away pre-triggered. And car behaves like that, break release and it drives off slowly likes if speed is set to 5km/h

2) Visualisation, my car shows only icon for CC. On Octavia forum i've found that car can also show set speed on LCD (maxidot), did you found were to enable that?
Will activation of ACC do it (will it work w/o errors w/o radar or. Acc stalks (obviously not measuring distance)?

3) DSG downshift, I've noticed that when reducing speed i can force it to downshift from 7 to 6. Is there a setting to use ABS to limit speed or downshift earlier?
Looks to me that original CC was not breaking to keep speed as this was considered waste of fuel, with ACC radar would need to force speed not to bump into car in front...

Hi.
I successfully installed cruise control in my 1.6 tdi after reading guides on uk-polo.net.
Now we are planning to do the same installation on friends polo 6r 1.2 tsi. We have all the tools , wirings, parts but we are not sure which terminal pin goes into 1.2 tsi ecu. Is it same as 1.6 tdi ecu terminal pin?
I am aware that pin number is differant but not sure about pin type.
Please help me. Thanks
