Good morning,
as you know, I have installed the automatic light switch and the automatic wipers in the car. (the well-known RLS).
I notice that the lights come on well before dusk and I wonder if there is any adjustment for the sensitivity of the automatic light system.
for example, I see in the list of adaptations of 09 (BCM) the following lines.
Code: Select all
ENG122926-RLS_wiper_position_parking,15 s,1
ENG122927-RLS_close_glazing,2.0 s,1
ENG122928-ENG121634-RLS_lights_for_autobahn-p_v_autobahn_on,140 km/h,3
ENG122928-ENG121635-RLS_lights_for_autobahn-p_v_autobahn_off,65 km/h,3
ENG122928-ENG121636-RLS_lights_for_autobahn-p_t_autobahn_delay_on,9 s,3
ENG122928-ENG121637-RLS_lights_for_autobahn-p_t_autobahn_delay_off,120 s,3
ENG122929-RLS_LIN_Communication,4 s,1
ENG122930-RLS_tunel_gateway_recognize,5 s,1
ENG122931-ENG123002-RLS_Lights_on_at_Rain-p_n_regenlichtschwelle_high,12 s,2
ENG122931-ENG123003-RLS_Lights_on_at_Rain-p_n_regenlichtschwelle_low,6 ,2
ENG122931-ENG123004-RLS_Lights_on_at_Rain-p_lx_regenlichtschwelle,6000 lx,2
ENG122931-ENG123005-RLS_Lights_on_at_Rain-p_t_regenlicht,30 s,2
ENG122932-ENG123006-RLS_Night_Sensitivity-p_lx_rs_day,500 lx,1
ENG122932-ENG123007-RLS_Night_Sensitivity-p_lx_rs_dawn,200 lx,1
ENG122933-error_mask,Conditions not correct or request sequence error,2
ENG122934-erase_error_table,Conditions not correct or request sequence error,2
ENG122935-RLS_Washer_Front,15 s,1
Logic tells me that the line:
ENG122932-ENG123007-RLS_Night_Sensitivity-p_lx_rs_dawn,200 lx,1
It may have something to do with the sensitivity of turning on the lights at night.
Does anyone know anything about this?

I have the exact same values in my MQB 2019.
It's perfect as it is. DON'T TOUCH IT!
It's not just about YOU being able to see with your vehicle's lights, the algorithm prioritizes your vehicle being visible to
all kinds of drivers in any environmental condition.

Remember that other systems have dependencies on the RLS, perhaps even the BSD warning lights...

I appreciate your answer. Thank you. For sure is more complicated that it looks.
However, my curiosity still remains, will changing the lux number change anything?

There is a way to do this, but I won’t share it because it relies on effectively tricking the system. That approach bypasses safety and legal constraints.
Back in the day you would miss a bit or install cheap led in a place it doesn't belong and for a result you would have bricked module. Nowdays every normie is personalising their lights and sharing stuff they don't understand.

Hi,
As time goes by, I'm thinking about continuing the PDC project.
Question about the positions of the sensors on the front bumper.
Are there any marked positions on the inside of it? It was like that on the rear bumper.
If there are no marks, are there dimensions somewhere on the internet (measurements) with their positions?
I read your posts on this topic, I couldn't find any photos that seemed to show any markings for the sensor placement.

There are no markings on the 6R bumpers, I don't know if there are any on the 6C bumpers.
I saw a video of a 6C R-line, and that was enough for me to do exactly the same thing, with perfect symmetry, on the front bumper of my 6R R-line.
The 6C and 6R R-line bumpers are identical.

I suppose it's deducible from 'all the pictures I took to share' in the link you posted to my thread...
...unless you're using that piece of crap called 'smartphone' and have little to no deductive reasoning ability, and furthermore, don't know how to operate that piece of crap device on which most of the world's population sells their soul to the devil himself daily.

hi,
thank you.
Could you please share the link for this video ?
Or to provide some measures from your parking sensors ?

Okay, I guess we're not seeing the same link I posted in my previous post, which included the video.
Hmm... either your devices are a mess or they've been completely hacked.
It's also possible that someone (a superior being, or who at least believes he is), 'with the best of intentions', is playing a prank on us. Especially to me...
Here's the link to the video: 6C R-line.

You were very clear, but i read your post from my phone and I didn't distinguish the video from the rest of the photos. Sorry for that.
OK, i have to remove the bumper and check if there are any marks, οtherwise, I'll improvise, like you, by watching the video.

Right now, I'm having several conversations (🖐), and this precious, wonderful, and pleasant device called a smartphone is to blame for a huge number of absurdities in
all of them.
- Wasted time.
-
Complete violation of personal data protection and privacy.
- Scams involving advertising links perfectly located in the interactive area.
- and much more...
Between the overwhelming amount of advertising and the absurdity of a tiny screen, these conversations are a real waste of time for something that should be resolved with extreme ease.
To the saying "there are no bad students, only bad teachers/masters", we must now add... except if the student has a device called a smartphone.
... and then I have to put up with those prejudiced about conspiracies, ideologies, religions, and a long etcetera... when in my existential sense there is no room for all these petty human concerns that some defend with fervent passion due to the real and execrable reason for obtaining resources, mainly money. The well-known rats and super rats, which in the past were hung from bridges by loan sharks...
