Just a few photos from my road trip today:

I know, I know, the car is in dire need of a wash

I've changed my tires this Friday to winter ones, I went for Nokian WR A3.

Had mine three days now and couldn't be happier with it. Proper smart little car. Getting squeak now and then when braking at low speeds but not often. Hopefully that will stop after a while but if not can always get on to the dealer to sort it out. Not had any of the speaker pop issues some of mentioned on here.
@willoughby - the radio is DAB regardless of whether or not you get the sat nav.

Spotify via Bluetooth works great, just can't see album art or playlists.

Car behaving itself for the last couple of days. Haven't even heard any pops.
I do find it curious that sometimes the mirrors unfold on opening the doors but for the most part when I switch on the ignition.

Make sure you post plenty photos!

Thought yours would of been in the same time as we've had updates the same time all the way, looking at the shipping the city of Barcelona is due to dock in tyne on the 18th, has came from Santander, could be a good bet that one. Currently in the English channel en-route to sheerness.

Perhaps VW are trying to keep costs down knowing that the emissions scandal is going to cost them.

Things might have changed for "short haul" but typically VAG move cars around the world in HUGE car transporter ships and these ships, for logistical reasons tend to stop only at a few ports, in the case of Northern Europe, that means everything from South Africa comes in to Spain to off load/on load and then maybe stop at Belgium to do same and terminate that run at Emden. From then on the cars gets sorted and loaded onto smaller local car transporters like "city of ***** " for regional delivery.
As I have suggested, the due deliveries will get modelled and ships used that fit in with that model to keep costs down.
