Will do, Doc_House. I'll have some day and night pictures up either Saturday or Sunday.

I had planned from the beginning to just buy some Philips or Osram bulbs, I couldn't justify paying £800 for the bi-xenon option at the time.

Its still a mix of raid and wind based doom here, so the only pic I have today is:

Drove very nicely, 20 miles of A roads.

Hoping this gets better over time as the oil burning golf I had would do 60 on the same run. Engine has 260 miles on it :D .

Nice, haven't seen photos of that trainer thing before. 50mpg from a brand new 150hp petrol engine is astonishing. How do you find the sound from the speakers?

The speakers are actually pretty good. I'm getting 52-54mpg out of a brand new engine with a mix of town and motorway. I'm also surprised how comfy the car is considering it's on low profile 17" alloys. Like Mark I'll get pics on when it eventually stops raining!

Yep the sound system is pretty good. Certainly provides enough volume and bass for most people - which is good as I usually end up replacing the speakers and adding a small sub to my cars, which I cant do this time. Been loading up a 32GB SDHC card so that I always have some tunes available in the car, still need to order a lightning cable for my phone to use in the car.

Car will get a fair few mile son the mway this weekend coming so we shall see what that does mpg wise. Then it will be run in, and I can play a bit more :D .

You don't get 50mpg when you use all of the 150hp though!

In a couple of months, once our BGTs have been run in, I say we have a competition to see who can get the first 0/100 'Blue Score Since Start' :D

That would require more than just driving it fast you'd have to rag the backside out of it at high revs I reckon. I want to know how to get 100, I've had a 99!

If anyone's interested, I just weighed mine. DSG, 3/4 fuel, 1160kg. Which matches well with the manufacturers specs, but just wanted to check :-).

0/100? Redlined in reverse should do it......

Need to investigate this mirrorlink, its there in the system but needs a key - might mean I don't need the tomtom anymore.

Apparently it's a new thing, I like it been showing everyone at work... Just noticed the General Lee Air horn in the back ground :)
