Can you be more specific? Why is not compatible?Mart!n-GTI-DK wrote:It doesn't even fit in the car... So does it matter?gti16 wrote:Hello

Peter from DK, told me that you might knew something usefull.
If you have a mail, we could discuss in private? It's regarding flickering on Dectane Dayline xenon headlight, and mounted xenon relay harness.

It utilizes a different canbus protocol so it is not able to communicate with the rest of the Radio. It's like someone who only talks chinsese tries to talk to someone who only speaks english.gti16 wrote:Can you be more specific? I know that the assembly is different, I know very well these radios just do not know if the car will recognize the radio to make use of its features. For example: The Can bus is compatible with Polo 6R?
Please first tell me you would like to do in your GTI.skoukiadakis wrote:Hi!

The Radio will operate like it is on a battery power only and not integrated.
Problems you'll face:
You cannot remove component protection
Radio will not Switch on or off automatically
PDC will not work
The Radio will not know the car is in reverse, i.e. for the reverse camera
Steering wheel controls will not work
Visualisation in your Instrument Cluster of Radio Station etc will not work
You will not be able to Diagnose Errors though VCDS
etc etc
