I think with our crowded roads it's rare to be able to just leave it engaged. No Route 66 here in warwicksire.
Think I enjoy my right foot on the gas and in control. I enjoy the involvement.

Really only thinking I will use CC when on motorway and theres a 50 mph speed limit (M6,M5,M4 well any M really)
I wont be using it alot I know but thougt I might as well have it as I do think the camera will be worth the pack price alone

Well, in my 2015 GTI, if I am driving with Cruise Control set and I change gear, it may be that CC is temporarily disabled while I am changing gear. But as soon as I select another gear and bring the clutch up, the CC re-engages in the absence of any specific disengage action (brake or manual cancel).

i'm guessing that's why i caught me off guard as i'm sure i had to re-enable it in my 9n3

I've got a long wait till car arrives! don't know if I can contain myself I'm getting giddy now and have at least a 3 to 4 month wait.

That's what I got told but mines now in transit, ordered on the 17th Oct so you might not have to wait too long.

Thats good hopefully by the beginning of March new 16 reg( although I will be putting my private reg on straight away)

Can anyone tell me the condition of the paint when 1st picking their new car up

Swirl city, so bad in fact I had them remove the ceramic coating I had applied in order to rectify the damage and then have the ceramic coating reapplied.

Used vinegar seems to have done the job but still has some black stains on it!

Any decent exhaust/metal polish should do it with some elbow grease

The finest grade steel wool (get it from B&Q or Wilko) to remove the carbon, then Britemax metal twins or Autosol should do the job.

Liberon 0000 grade steel wool is the best - can also use it to properly clean glass

Heard they may not do anything about blemishes if you don't allow them to prep it. I'm just going to let them do it and sort out the swirls when the weather is better.

Will have a word with the dealership they know never to wash my car when it goes in for service maybe I can be involved in the cleaning

But if not I will have to spend a few more pounds on detailing gear

What petrol do you put in your gti's
I only ever used bp ultimate in my golf tdi's

I was thinking of shell v power nitro

Any suggestions?
