H4 to H7 is just at straight swap of the headlights. No coding required. Plug and play.

Mart!n, it's right, as long as the halogen headlights swap is done on a Polo 6R
BlueMotion.
Non-bluemotion.
Hi Nico, I'm glad to hear that the automatic lights wiring works perfectly, I hope it always remain so.
Do you know the reason to change from 61 to 65 Hex in Byte18? Do you have a link to?
It is not necessary in your Bluemotion (nor other change due to automatic lights).

Thank you very much for all this info. I have yet to see if my xenon headlights have the halo.
Although I still fear more that a VW dealer have to do some work on my 6R...

...

(given that a VW dealer is not the same as VW factory)

Hello, NicoWallmeier.
65 is value of 18 byte on russian Polo 6R with factory bixenon headlights (BCM 7E0937090). If there are H7 halogen headlight with Auto light and RLS 18 byte is 61.
The main feature of the H4 headlights is in switching off the low beam H4 glower while the high beam is active. This is due to inadmissibility of working both glowers into the one bulb.
So when you retrofit your headlights to H7 you should change coding of the 09 Centr.electric to disable deactivation low beam while working high beam. The 18 byte value could be the same - 61
As I know if the 18 byte is 61 and additionally marked bit 2 byte 22 - the low beam doesn't work while high beam is active.
There are my Polo6R configuration of the 09 CentrElectr below. H7 headlights, Auto lights, RLS

The link is
http://www.polo6rfreunde.de/index.php/T ... post189892. And I guess that I have to change something because the low beams are switched off if the high beams are activated. Maybe firegrafik already posted the right solution...
My current coding of the BCM is
Code: Select all

Component: BCM PQ25 Re4 H50 0353

You have a polo bluemotion (88F).
Sometimes it is plug and play, sometimes you need to disable byte 22 bit 2
Schönes Wochenend

Many thanks Nico, firegrafik, iichel, etc...
According to all this great information due to combination of knowledges, tests, etc...:
You must disable Byte22 Bit2.
You must leave Byte18 as it is, 61Hex.
Please confirm the results.
You guys are the best!
NOW, we all know what enables the Byte22 Bit2, and in what cases it should be used (H4 BlueMotion, BCM Max).
BCM PQ25... "The Thing"

I've just disabled Byte 22 Bit 2 and leaveByte 18 as it is -> it's working perfectly now
Many thanks for the great support ciclo, firegrafik, iichel, etc...!!!

Hello Ciclo
Need some help...
I replaced BCM from 6R0937087K to 7H0937089 , factory my polo is with DRL and Static Cornering lights in foglights
I replaced factory headlamps to xenon headlamps with static cornering lights.
Xenon and Cornering light works good , but DRL LED not working , DRL LED is connected to T73B/3 (LEFT LAMP) and T73A/5 (RIGHT LAMP)
Cornering light in headlamp connected to T73B/9 left ,and T73B/10 right.
Dimmer connector T6/3 removed and isolate , new wire T6/3 ---> T73B/1 , 58d alternatiwe marked. (now dimmer regulation of instrument cluster , radio etc... not working)
Coding is now:3CB02BBF08E32400933008D16EAB0ED0FA8067FF60851040200000010000
Many Thanks for any help

I have not been lucky yet. (also lack of time to check with some encodings that gave me
firegrafik, to play with binaries)
I will report if I have luck, you can be sure.

Remove-isolate yellow wire (1.0mm) from T17/3.
New wire (0.5mm) from T17/3 to T73b/29.

Please post a full Autoscan. (to check with Elsawin the diagrams)
You need to install the Wiring1 and Wiring2 for BCM Max. See and read the entire post and images (BCM Max).
The problem is in how the signal is sent from T17/16 to T73a/45 with your original installation.
You need to do this to fix the problem of Switches and Instruments lights and other lights
