I just gotta find the right one first! There's ones on eBay but I can't be sure of they're genuine/will fit

The noise is all gone... seemingly temporary? strange!
I've been considering braided brake hoses recently, is that something that's possible on our cars? if so, which kit should I go for?

Goodridge do a set for the 6n2 GTI. However I needed to have the banjo hoses grinded down abit to fit:

Pair these up with your G60 brakes, and make sure to rebleed the entire system with some good quality DOT4 (or DOT5.1 if you're feeling particularly generous) and you'll be all set. As I mentioned earlier, you'll need to grind the banjos abit to fit, but shouldnt be much of a problem

Are these kits made specifically for our car? You'd think the manufacturer would get the right fitment! Is there any safety implication in griding down the banjo at all? Brakes are pretty important so I wouldn't wanna screw it up.
On an unrelated note... My horn has been pretty pathetic since I've owned the car. I've tried replacing fuses and looking underneath the car and to be honest I've run out of ideas on the 'quick fix' front. Having inspected it (and I have a video... It's probably just below all of this writing. It's not very good) there seems to be an unconnected connector... and isn't our horns suppose to be dual horns i.e. two of them? There's only one under there!!

There should defiantly be two horns down there dude. Im thinking the other one should be connected to that. I really like the two tone horn, sounds really nice

Aye there should be two
Now the question is do you have the higher or the lower tone still fitted
New horn is about £25 from VW - they still use them on the new Tiguan

Definitely the lower one of the two horns missing. Anyone got a part number?
It wouldn't surprise me if this car has been taken apart and put back together again (badly). I'm currently taking the dash apart to fit the 99 wiper relay. There's screws missing and little bits of plastic cracked here and there! More on the wiper relay later though
If you are planning on doing this, take Neil's advice.. you DO have to remove the lower dash. It's pretty much impossible to fit it without doing so.

Mine should have arrived today and I will hire a little chinese boy with small hands before I start taking my dash apart
