Why not just remove the grill and click the old one off and click on the new one?

Is anyone else experiencing a real lack of grip in the wet? I can't use any more than half throttle in first or second without wheelspin.. Also - it starts to under steer so early on a wet roundabout - the diesel golf courtesy car I had for the past week had much more grip. I'm on the standard Bridgestone potenzas - am thinking of changing to some Uniroyal rainsport 3's which will hopefully help..

Edit - this may be more of an issue for those with the manual considering the extra torque.

Actually think that's an awesome idea, never been massively keen with the silver GTI logo. I'm really tempted.

Plenty of wheelspin with the DSG too.

Well I've got mine back and fingers crossed the stereo is fixed

I've got a hardware version of H10(H04 previously) & software version of 0138

Still early yet but if it works I can see me reviving the ktp-445 project

Drove mine from Kendal to up near Whitehaven on Saturday on some fairly winding roads while it was properly pissing it down and found it pretty grippy.

Have had some wheelspin moving off in first in the wet though when not exactly ragging it.

Is anyone else hearing a kind of grinding noise when the car is moving on full lock?! I've posted a video of the noise mine is making.. - http://youtu.be/-GhcoU50H74 VW don't seem to be able to replicate it themselves and I'm sure it doesn't sound right.

So it is just a straight swap then? Wasn't sure if the MK7 Golf had the same fixing and the polo :)

I think I'll have to take my car in to the dealership soon. I have a squeaky front right wheel, you can hear it specially when reversing with the steering wheel close to full lock. Also (this might be in my head) but the same right wheel, after a highway run, feels hotter than the left one, leading me to think there's something wrong with the brakes.

Still waiting on the car getting to the dealers, got off the boat on Friday. Hopefully get there in the next few days, and they said once received they'll have the car ready for me in 24 hours :)

I like my GTI but I wish VW would decide at last to produce an R version with 4WD. I'd be ordering.

Good to hear, hopefully they built a good batch with no faults then! When did you order yours out of curiosity? Hopefully mine isn't too far away then, mine has to get it's way up to Scotland :( !

That's Audi S1 territory, VW is never gonna make a 4wd Polo I think. At least not one that's performance oriented

Mine got to my dealer the next day, sheerness all the way to Swindon in southwest, and I ordered mine on the 8th October. Then the boat went to Grimsby followed by Tyne so will have took abit longer for yours to port (city of Sunderland)
