Glovis Crown is apparently destined for Zeebrugge but is 10km off of the UK coast near Torquay.

Heard there are problems at the ports as I was expecting my car this week! But was told yesterday the ships can’t get into port and off load the cars as there are no spaces. So they are trying to get extra transport to make space so they can off load the cars from the ships. I was told my car could be delay till the first week of May now ?

This matches up with what my dealer told me last week about their demo GTi+ having been stuck at Grimsby for over 2 weeks waiting for a transporter (they finally got it a couple of day ago) and they have been having issues for a while now getting cars to them once they they have arrived in the country.

Think the skipper of the vessel mine is on has been on the rum watching the route he's been taking.
Changing name of ship to Glovis Clown.

Even Grimsby VW dealer cannot show customers a Polo GTI. A mate of mine went in and asked for a test drive of either a GTI or a GTI+ and asked what's the waiting time for a GTI, and they told him 4 months  . The thing is they expected him to place an order without even a test drive of one
I told him to order a GTI+ then draw up a contract with them, stating that every month over the 4 months, they would deduct £500.00 per month, till he took delivery, and see if they would sign up to it  .

Never thought buying a car would be this much hassle. For my first buying experience it's been horrible.

From the sound of things and bank holidays coming up I wouldn't be surprised if it'll be another month of waiting. It would be quicker to drive to Germany and pick the bloody thing up.

Ha, I was only just saying the same thing.

65 Weeks since ordered - bloody ridiculous - seems we get past one hurdle and then we are faced with another - that will teach me for thinking we were getting close and on the home stretch when it arrived in Emden.

Wonder if its actually secretly in the UK and I will get one of those BTW its here updates......

I work in logistics, the complete inflexibility of big companies baffles and annoys me.
So set in their ways.
Set supplier lists with set costs, no way to organise something outside the norm.
Aaaargh....

I’m waiting to come to the uk port I think a lot of it is due to the factory’s panicking over Brexit as they was stock piling and so the ports are full of cars and the ships can’t unload

I have been tracking this ship for the last 12 days since I found out my SEL had arrived there a week last Thursday. It's the only one I have read that ferries VAG cars from Emden to Sheererness. It takes a round trip about every 3 days

Port Calls
Estimated Time of Arrival
Sheerness 2019-04-17 08:30
Recent Port Calls Actual Time of Arrival (UTC)
Emden 2019-04-15 09:56
Sheerness 2019-04-13 19:20
Emden 2019-04-11 18:27
Sheerness 2019-04-10 13:24
Emden 2019-04-08 15:55

I get this from here :

So it arrived in Sheerness on 10/4, 13/4 and is due in again tomorrow

hope this helps
