so all the can wires go to the can gateway. the gateway is like the phone central.
mostly, the gateway is integrated in the BCM.
can wires always come in
sets of two wires, a high and a low wire.
furthermore, you have several can networks in your Polo 6R:
- can powertrain (engine, gearbox, abs, power steering etc)
- can convenience (radio, climate control, mdi, bluetooth, trailer)
- can diagnostics, to connect the VCDS cable
you need to add one set of wires (2 wires, one high, one low) from a can wiring pair for can powertrain
to the pdc module (in case of OEM PDC module).
so find a pair of can wires (i.e. at the BCM, steering angle sensor, AFS, instrument cluster)
the connection between your radio and the parking sensors is not to be added.
it already exists. it's the convenience can from the radio to the gateway.

Run these wires from the
16-pin connector of park aid unit to
73-pin white connector BCM (or alternative place indicated by iichel

, it's easier) with the following correspondence.
T16/15-------------------->T73b/18 Can-low (orange/brown)
T16/6--------------------->T73b/19 Can-high (orange/black)

Hello All,
Sorry for dropping in guys I seen all the great upgrades going on here and I must say very good job. Unfortunately I do not have Polo just a Skoda Roomster because of family reasons/disabled people. But I think that the cars share some common things under the hood. I was thinking to take some upgrades from this post to my Roomster. Let’s say upgrading the BCM to a T6 BCM and maybe some other things. However I need some guidance what is and what is not possible. Currently I will be upgrading RLS sensor together with the automatic mirror and Bluetooth phone module… Already upgraded steering wheel MF buttons both sides and big NAVI Colombus or RNS510…

Hi JapFan,
welcome to the community. You have come to a good place.
You will need some work on you Skoda Roomster even though you have read well into what you need.
Rain and light sensor will work, for sure. The automatic lights, they will need the BCM High or Max and the according wiring needs to be done.
A pre-made set is made by ciclo, or you can get creative and make your own. I highly recommend ciclos services since he is very good in explaning and making.
What you can consider, even though I don't know the Roomster very well:
- Xenon headlights
- MDI
- Heated seats
- High beam assist? (don't know whether it will fit, the 7E0 mirror)
- Rear view camera
Your car already looks very well equipped with the DSG, climatronic, PDC and cornering lights. Enjoy it.
Maybe you can make your own topic so we can get to learn you and your car a bit better.

Excellent idea.
2. have to cut it and sould it in between instrument and BCM power train cable.
YES and NO, the easiest place to do it is next to instrument cluster connector. (T32 blue)
You should never cut the original cables, it is better to cut, weld, crimping the repair wires.
E.g
3. which wire will i have to connect with head unit.
Forget that. You do not even have to remove the head unit.
...
4. can i connect these can wire to my Head unit's can high and can low point because these cable are there.
Never do that
. The CAN BUS radio (convenience) is a different data line of CAN BUS powertrain .
5. can i make these cable by own .
Sure, but it is better that you buy the wires from aliexpress.

Hello JapFan, WELCOME!
I have been studying this issue and
I find very interesting. I searched for information about the units you currently have installed, all clear, except the instrument cluster. (Please a picture)
You also need to tell me the 'Model Year' (tenth digit of VIN), to take a look at all the electrical installations (Elsawin) of your Roomster 1.2 TSI (CBZB) DSG. It is essential to know what is possible and what is not...

Thanks for the welcome guys
Regarding the upgrades you suggested...
- Xenon headlights - Roomster does not come with xenon...

I do have projector headlights but only way to get xenon is some CN xenon bulbs. That is not the way I want to go.
- MDI-I have lots free GBs of space on the RNS 510 for music and also SD cards are very cheap so MDI can be a good thing but its really not needed in my case.
- Heated seats - already have them from factory.
- High beam assist? (don't know whether it will fit, the 7E0 mirror)- maybe
- Rear view camera - good idea not very expensive when I already have RNS 510...but I think the handle which has the camera is bigger and I would need to do some cuttings on the 5th door. That I do not like doing very much because it can catch rust very easy then.
Regarding the cluster photo and VIN can you ping me over PM with mail pls. I am new and I am unable to send PMs...

It is not necessary to be exactly your IC, you can put here a link of one that is exactly the same. Search on google

5J0 920 841 G or a youtube video for example.
You only need to tell me the tenth letter of the VIN.
A, B, C, D, E, F?

there should be 6 wires from the 16 pin connector:
6th pin: can powertrain high
15th pin: can powertrain low
2nd pin: speaker ground
10th pin: speaker plus
1st pin: power (ignition switched 12V)
8th pin: ground
the colors may differ depending on the manufacturer of the wiring loom, but this is how the 16 pin connector is laid out on the Polo 6R (only rear sensors)
