Yes, you certainly are. But the engine ECU is too stupid to understand how it works.
I was hoping to make my MFSW module work with the ACC radar but I'm afraid it isn't possible.
The engine software had no ACC interpretation.
It will only receive accelerate and decelerate signals coming from the BCM as given by the user via the stalks.
I'm still planning of making the city brake assist work, with the new ESP9.0i unit but I'm not sure whether I'll be 100% successful.
For now it looks nice, but if it will not succeed, I'll take it off again and have the normal continuous bottom grill.

Did I already tell you guys about my power steering failure? Probably not.
My power steering pump started to drink a bit too much water and shorted out, causing it to malfunction.
I removed the pump and was eventually able to repair it, removing the corrosion from the PCB by ultrasonic cleaning.

At the same time, I was a bit fed up with the poor reliability record of these pumps in general, having heard about a lot of failures in the 6R lately.
I guess due to the location of these pumps, they are quite sensitive to water ingress and high current electricity is bad with water.
So, I decided to retrofit the electromechanical column as a backup plan.
I bought:
- 6C1423510AE steering column
- 6R1423961 coupling
- 6C1857017B dashboard carrier
- 6C1721913 crash support above pedals
- Mountings and screws for the column
Mounting the new dash carrier is a bit of a pain, but since I already did it once before while retrofitting the climatronic, I wasn't too afraid...
Take out the center console, steering wheel, glove box, airbags, steering wheel and dash first. Have a break.
Then take out the wipers, plenum chamber and take out the carrier.
Finally, take the chance to tidy up some wiring below the dash (this is always the part that makes me very happy), place the new column and do the wiring.
I took the OEM installation, with the ground point next to the airbag module and routed a 10mm2 wire to the engine compartment fuse box.
Then I simply took a contra-plug to the original power steering plug and took +15 and CAN powertrain from there.
Remove the G85 in the slip ring, code power steering column to 000300 and course, put everything back in.
It's quite a long job, I took me well over a day overall but then it's perfectly aligned and tidy.
After that, I went for a small drive, without active power steering but it did have an emergency programme.
I did some straight driving and some corners. Don't exceed 25 km/h.
Finally, some lock-to-lock cycles, stop, connect your VCDS and look at the measurement values of 44 Power Steering to see the steering angle. Get it as close to 0.0 degrees as you can.
Exit 44 , go to 03 ABS, login 40168, basic settings, and do the calibration of the steering angle sender.
Autoscan, remove all DTCs and make a new scan. It should all be OK.
At the end, this was the way to do it and I'm happy to report, it works perfectly.

I remember I saw on ETKA that the steering rods for electro-mechanical steering are different than those for electro-hydraulic one.
