Re: New GTI + delivery
Have you found after ordering your Polo it’s very slow too the car goes into production then after it goes pretty quick with the shipping etc.
I ordered my Polo back in February and since 1 March it’s been stuck saying your order is with the factory.

Nope not going to lie 163 pages of it, just read the last few pages and lot of that is guessing what ship your car’s maybe on.
Re: New GTI + delivery
There are people on here who ordered January 2018 and have just got their cars, actually I think there are still one or two who are still waiting from then. I ordered more recently, Sept 2018, not got mine yet either, it’s on a boat, it’ll be 8 months next weekSteve_2019 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 2:04 am Nope not going to lie 163 pages of it, just read the last few pages and lot of that is guessing what ship your car’s maybe on.

Yep I'm one of those.. still waiting.
Think mine's on the 'Angela Merkel', possibly cruising up the African coast.

The last few pages, yes, but somewhere a little before that, it's full of people waiting for status updates.Steve_2019 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 2:04 am Nope not going to lie 163 pages of it, just read the last few pages and lot of that is guessing what ship your car’s maybe on.
Only recently have the cars got on the move again, where building and shipping are concerned.
I think that the order I placed last July has taken a ridiculous amount of time to arrive, still waiting by the way.
There are others who have been waiting since Jan 2018.
I'm pretty sure that my build date came before others who have been waiting longer than me too.

Re: New GTI + delivery
Yes I have been waiting since my order date of 5th January 2018. Was given a 5b on 5th April 2019 then nothing.
Dealer gives no info so left in limo. If I don't here something soon then after 67 weeks may still pull the plug!!!!

Re: New GTI + delivery
I’ve been waiting since 10th Feb 2018 however my dealer has just emailed me to say my car has arrived in the UK (Sheerness) and should be with them in 7-10 working days I received my 5b notification on 17/04 but haven’t had a tracker update yet!

Re: New GTI + delivery
I did read else where VW had a lot issues with the New WLTP emissions and the South Africa plant with strikes last year but even so over 12 months waiting for a normal road car is a p*** take. Just hope it’s worth the wait.
Hopefully they speed up the production lines up to get the order books down a bit.

There will probably be a new model out by the time I and a lot of others take delivery of their vehiclesSteve_2019 wrote: ↑Tue Apr 23, 2019 10:33 am I did read else where VW had a lot issues with the New WLTP emissions and the South Africa plant with strikes last year but even so over 12 months waiting for a normal road car is a p*** take.
