What sort of niggles have you had? I'm at 1400 miles as well and mine has been to the dealer twice now for something rattling next to my head squeaky breaks when rolling in traffic and a dent in the steering wheel. Needs to go back again as the squeak hasn't gone.Pavel wrote:It's the metallic/pearl black.Matt_brumgti wrote:Hi Pavel
Is that the solid black or metallic? Got same car arriving in March...looking mighty fine!
I'm sure you'll be as happy with yours as I am with mine. 1400 miles in I have a few very minor niggles that I'm going to get on to the dealer about soon but all in all I absolutely love the car.

I have the same rattle - seems to come from where the seat belt goes into the pillar.. I also still have the squeaky breaks 4500 miles inKarlcee wrote:What sort of niggles have you had? Also gave the squeaky breaks as well , and a squeaky when below 13mph then once go over 13mph it go's away.. Also boost seems to come and go in 2nd gear any one else have these issues?????
Re: New GTI
Mine squeak up to around 5 mph and then as you say it just goes after that My rattle is still there also, but I have now put wind deflectors on so there just going to blame them. I don't have any issues with boost not coming in but it dose lag quite bad, I didn't expect that since the turbo isn't that big, I had a mk5 golf gti previous to this and there was a lot less lag on that.

Re: New GTI
Initially brakes squeaking at very low speeds. This seems to have stopped now but front passenger wheel now squeaks when not braking at low speed.Karlcee wrote:What sort of niggles have you had? Get a lot of moisture building up on the inside of the windscreen.
Trip reset button has stopped working.
I imagine the only one the dealer will actually fix is the trip button though.

Loving it
The ride is firm but not so it's uncomfortable, and for me the driving position is spot on. Not proper pushed it but the handling feels superb.
I've gone from a 16 year old polo gti as my daily driver to this though so is night & day.

Nothing better than aimless driving for the sake of it! It's great to hear you're enjoying it as much as you are.. Making me all the more excited to collect mine!nats148 wrote:
Loving itdid a 100 mile trip the other day just because. So effortless on acceleration which was needed cos there were a lot of people ambling along.

Did the dealers mention anything about bedding it in? So I've heard you're supposed to drive it sensibly for the first 1500 miles or so to let the engine settle but at the same time I've had others saying that the first 1500 you want to drive it the hardest.
