Did the dealers mention anything about bedding it in? So I've heard you're supposed to drive it sensibly for the first 1500 miles or so to let the engine settle but at the same time I've had others saying that the first 1500 you want to drive it the hardest.

Never said anything to me, I've been taking it steady(ish) but having a good blast every now & then.
My best mate's hubby said there's not really any bedding in period on new cars now & just start as I mean to go on?

Yeah I imagine theres no harm in taking it somewhat steady for the first thousand miles because realistically you're not gonna be able to hoon it all the time anyway but at the same time you're not gonna have it for the first 1000 miles and not enjoy the reason you got it.. So steadyish seems more than reasonable plus there's no harm on the whole bedding in situation whether that is still a thing or not

Love it, it feels a lot faster than my fn2 civic type r was .. [emoji106][emoji106]
I assume the Type R felt much more exciting to drive though?

I think the sensible thing is to no go crazy in first 1000 miles, use each gear don't let engine labour etc. Then gradually have more fun. I turned into a great uphill straight on way to bridgenorth shropshire the other day and gave it plenty....wow lol

Yes, I kept mine relatively steady for the first 1000-1500 miles. Obviously you can't be steady all the time and have to give it a blast but I tried to.

I'm on 2400 now and have fitted a DTUK box this week - it flies.

My trip computer buttons are stuck too, I can't reset it and I can only just press the other button but then it gets stuck and the clock just runs and runs as if I'm changing the time, so annoying. I hit 2000 miles today, car feels a lot faster than when I picked it up, gave it a proper ragging for the first time yesterday whilst it was dry for 5 minutes, smiles all round.

Very early stages, I've only done 100 miles or so with it but it feels like it's made a difference. I've tried the 3 main settings and have settled with it on the first one - boost kicks in at around 3k which makes 3rd and 4th gears in particular feel ridiculously quick - was driving home yesterday and my girlfriend said "bloody hell that made my tummy go funny" when I accelerated - so if she's noticing it then it can't be bad!

If I was going to race it or take it on a track day then I'd put the boost on the third setting, where it kicks in at around 5k, that felt insane - just felt it was a bit pointless in the day-to-day driving unfortunate.
