I noticed that.gnome wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:02 am Looks like the Glovis Sunlight hasn't reached Emden yet, its sat out at sea, guess the port is busy. Noticed that the City of Sunderland is heading back to Emden, it is scheduled to arrive tomorrow morning. Hopefully that'll pick up some cars for the Tyne![]()
Could well be but my salesman said he spoke to someone at VW UK "Sales and Generalist" yesterday, apparently who deals with logistics etc, and they said it definitely isn't assigned to a ship so who knows, I'm going to wait to see if anything happens after the Sunlight docks at Emden before calling VW customer service as he advised.EmmaBx wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:32 am I was convinced my car was sat in the South African port for a month as my dealer continually told me it was ‘at status 30’. I only found out via VW customer service when I called up that it had been on a ship to Emden!
I’m not sure about yours but my dealer is so unhelpful and uninterested that he couldn’t be bothered to look into it for me. So your car could well be on its way to Emden!
The famous “I’ve spoken to VW” ... had that a few times with my dealer, don’t believe they ever spoke to them. Hopefully it’s on the Sunlight with the rest of oursGriff74 wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:53 amCould well be but my salesman said he spoke to someone at VW UK "Sales and Generalist" yesterday, apparently who deals with logistics etc, and they said it definitely isn't assigned to a ship so who knows, I'm going to wait to see if anything happens after the Sunlight docks at Emden before calling VW customer service as he advised.EmmaBx wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 9:32 am I was convinced my car was sat in the South African port for a month as my dealer continually told me it was ‘at status 30’. I know what you're saying and I am inclined to agree with you but he sounded pretty frustrated as well, he seems to be one of the better salesmen I have dealt with and he knows I only went for the car I did as it's build date gave me plenty of time to be delivered before I would need to spend £200+ on my current car which I don't want to do and was one of the main reasons for me changing my car sooner rather than later.gnome wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 10:13 am

That is shockingGriff74 wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 11:12 am Just spoken to VW directly and they confirm my car is still sat in PE awaiting a ship, they said to call back when I have seen the Glovis Crystal has left PE (and if it is heading Europe way) and they will be able to check if it is on it, joy, joy, joy!!![]()
Oh wow so that is another ship that has left PE for Emden since mine has been sat on the dock that it hasn't been loaded on to, awesome!johnpolo2 wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 11:25 am VW chat inform me today that my car was loaded onto the Morning Catherine on the 17th. More info than my dealership gave me which was zero.

True, when did you get your "in transit" notification?johnpolo2 wrote: Thu Apr 25, 2019 2:35 pm Well let's face it Griff, when date order appeared to have no bearing on the pecking order for builds then why should the cars time sat at the dock.
VW motto must be 'Random is as random does' .
