You'll be rolling like me soon if you keep going up

I wish i was rolling in yours to be honest fella.
New lamda sensor's being fitted next week, hope it clears the problem.

20mm up front and 25mm rear boys....
Big time poke and yes the scrubbing is silly on winter tyres but stretched summers is fine.
He's on about height dude, anyways thats sooooo 2010.It's all about drivability now geez.

Yeah ride height is changing a bit. If i keep it will get some nice summer wheels with some 165's and drop it again.

Yeah would love a mint low millage one. Wish i had done a bit more research into them and not just bought the first one i saw though. There are loads for sale on ebay atm. When i looked last year there was only 2 or 3 when i found this one.
Hopefully after i sort out the warning light and give it a good detail in spring i'll feel the love for it again.

What mileage is yours on now Chris?
Mine hit the 70K mark a few months back
Off the road at the moment with a shagged gearbox

106,000 now

bought it with 98k. Although when at the garage a lad with a red gti pulled up, his was in fairly decent condition, bit of headlight hazing and a few scratches, but his was on 179,000 miles..! Couldn't believe it, if looked after no reason why they can't go on for a long time.

Know what you mean man,i spent 3 months looking.I was the first person to view the one i bought, had to have it after i saw it.
People moan about them but cars like the Saxo VTS/106 GTI have both clutch and gearbox issues not to mention the 600 rattles that they aquire with age.The Polo GTI is on a complete other level of quality, mines 10years old and still feels soild as a rock.
Hope you get the old girl going again soo buddy.

Exactly mate they are good for over 200K if looked after properly.
There is black one on eBay at the moment on 145K and I saw a mint Red GTI at Castle Combes last year with 139K on the clock.
The engine is really strong it’s just the gearbox and the odd sensor that go wrong.
As Bradley said the gearbox issue completely overshadows the quality of the car which is a real shame, Golfs are notorious for gearbox failures too but they seem to get good press regardless.

You make me upset.
You should buy a new VW Caddy van for work and i'll accept that as an apology.

Good Luck with the Sale Chris
You wont find many examples better than this one, your paintwork is absolutely immaculate.
Hope you get what you want for it
Caddy Van would be the
only option if you do go for a Van

Thanks guys/girl.
I know what you mean, I love my car! I've had a couple offers and a couple PX offers but nothing im keen on.
Its on sale till the end of march and if its not gone by then i'll properly detail it again and then it'll be show season

so who knows, really enjoyed the car last summer so might end up hanging on to it till august/september.
Undecided.
