Guys. Quick one:
Anyone here knows if RCD320 (comes with current polo sedan/jetta) need security code? Someone is selling one without the code. Firegrafik?

No, it has not code. I had the factory's RCD320. Take into account,
it have the ISO sockets (non-quadlock) one antenna socket,

it doesn't need to be marked in the 19 Gatway. It doesnot work with PDC
There are two types of this units:
RCD320 and RCD320G
RCD320G connects to the CAN-powertrain bus (not CAN-comfort) works with multifunktional steering wheel buttons has bluetooth and the microphone on the panel

Take into account there are many chinese analogues of this units, called the RCN220 - looks the same but I don't no how they work.

There are new type of the head units which comes with the new Polo Sedans 2015. RCD230. It has a quadlock socket, works on CAN -comfort. Works with PDC, but they has PIN codes

Also there are Highline head units is RCD330G, It has a quadlock socket, works on CAN -comfort. Works with PDC,has 5 inch color display, supports analogue camera has a Mirrorlink. Now I have this unit

also I get managed to activate Mirrorlink working in motion
https://www.drive2.com/l/10569447/

There are many offers with chinese RCD330G (produsing by Delphi) it has only Chinese and English languages and for now there is impossible to activate Mirrorlink working in motion with the same way as described upper.

I like this unit (RCD 330G HARMAN), and with the information in your links even more. Good job!

By the way, (for those who ask me) on this link there are informative images for OPS with RCD 330G. Especially for the new 6R Polo India model.
Look closely at the PDC control unit, from 6R0 919 064 A/B/C... (not OPS, without CAN-powertrain) to 6RU 919 475 (OPS with CAN-powertrain)

Firegrafik, I recommend you the rear-view camera, I think it would be a good improvement for Polo Sedan. Worth it. 6RF 980 121

A thought (question) about cruise control display (GRA_High):

These fortunate, Polo 2011,Fabia 2011, have one thing in common, both have K-line connected to the engine unit (also in OBD2 port) due to DSG.

From 2011 (or before) this K-line has been gradually removed from Polo 6R depending on the equipment. My 6R does not have this K-line connected to the engine unit, but other 6R (previous 2011 and without DSG) have this K-line.

If I read this TPI (at the end) where it says:
c. Do not restart the update process using the CAN connection, but rather update the engine control unit using the K-line (provided this still exists, see circuit diagram). For this, eject the CAN lines (chamber 6 and 14) from the diagnostic connector of the vehicle.

...I could think that when carried out a software update with diagnostic tools at the VW dealers (due to several reasons*) the necessary data in order that GRA_High be activated in the Polo 6R go through this K-line due to the software used. :?:
* The Polo 2011 DSG owner got the GRA_High when was installed the instrument cluster with MFA at a VW dealer. My instrument cluster with MFA was also installed in a VW dealer but I did not get the GRA_High function (6R 2013).

so, ...what would happen if I install a K-line from the Engine Control Unit to the OBD2 port during the software update process that I have scheduled for October 6 in my VW dealer? :?: :?: :?:
In my case with 1.2 TSI: from T94/86 (ECU) to T16/7 (OBD2).

Do you think it is not a good idea?

I wouldn't have though it would make any difference if it's not also connected to the instrument cluster? Or do you mean only for the update process?

For the ecu update process only.
This K-line would be removed later because it would have no function in my 1.2 TSI without DSG.

Data for GRA_High would through CAN lines. ECU-->Gateway-->IC (I guess)

I'd say, go for it. It has been factory equipment anyway so there is probably no harm in it.
The only thing is, that this pin on T96 could have disappeared along with the MY2012. You could check of course to see if it's there.
If the pin is still there, it will work.

But I somehow doubt that the software would be different when installed through CAN or K-Line. But I don't know why.

I've tried a lot of things for GRA_High, and I refuse to believe that VW has removed this part of the software of these engine control units for Polo 6R when it is a little more driving safety.

The K-line is the only difference I can find between a 6R 2011 and my 2013, with some sense.

I'll do it, hoping not to break anything Image. I will intercalate a faston connector in this k-line wire.
