Still understood what I ment as everybody knows it's polychloroprene and is an extremely versatile synthetic Rubber.
Dumbed it down for us non picky scientist lol..
Only other thing may be when fitting to much air is being trapped and once air pressure builds up..... Boom...
Odd really...

Found them on eBay mate. I have been looking for ages and these were the first 4 stud ones I have ever seen. I was almost willing to use PCD adapters but I thought that it may stick out to far out as the wheels allready have a smaller ET than the RXII's. Got them for £340 but I think they need new tires and probably a refurb. However I'll wait till the winter for the re furb

Just a case of being lucky then mate, I've seen one other set in that fitment in anthracite on a lupo GTI looked very smart, will you just be getting them done in standard silver?

Endi_GTI's GTI: New Wheels :D

So went up to get these wheels yesterday in mums golf. Think they are going to look good. They need a massive refurb and a whole new set of rubber. Here are some pictures of them offered up with the massive 195/45/R16 tires on them. Oh and i am currently back in the 1.0 6N2 until my bloody tax disc comes
I am really not to good with the whole tire proportions. I understand that i will need a lower profile tire than the RXII's as otherwise it will affectively gear it up and put the speedo out. So the tires i have on the RXII's are T1R's in 195/45/R15. What do you people think would be the best size for the new ones so it is the closest diameter.
The specs are:
- ET35
- 7.5J
- 16"
- 4 stud
At the moment they are running 195/45/R16
I would say 195/40/R16 but im really not to sure on this
Any help would be gratefully received

195/40/16 is the correct tyre. You'll get a little stretch as it's a 7.5j wheel so choose tyres with decent rim protection

Did not know they come in 16" love those wheels but could only ever find them in 17"
O and it might rub with 195/40 on
Just had a look the only stretch you are goin to get is if you get 165 which would be crazy on a 7.5j wheel

Thanks Alex. How can you tell if it has this? Would Toyo T1R's be suitable or go continental?
BIG RHYS wrote:Did not know they come in 16"
Cheers Rhys. Yeah i really like them. been looking for a set for so long. I may have to roll out the arches then

I'd agree with alex, 40/16's will be your best bet, little bit of stretch like i have on mine. 165 would give you a lot of stretch, which personally isn't for me.
Hurry up and get them on
