Are you sure that 086 is a direct swap with 087?patil wrote: Mon Jun 17, 2024 8:11 pmDon't give up just yetsejuani wrote: Mon Jun 17, 2024 1:44 am
I was too late to see this information.![]()
I have BCM 087P(with address 65 in gateway installation list), and I bough a 3AA TPMS.
After trying ODX of 3AA, 2H6 and 5Q0, there is nothing show up on my cluster.
I'll return TPMS and keep my inderict TPMS.![]()

I have very encouraging information for you. I heard it sometime ago from a friend, I think it's Sujoy.. that PQ 25 BCM high 18D 937 086 D/E support direct TPMS. 18D BCM is a straight swap for 6R0/6RU 087 BCM's. Well it's worth a try.
Good luck!

Re: INSTALLING DIRECT TPMS IN POLOGT 6R RHD IND
I am not sure, but I heard that they are direct swap. I have only heard that 18D BCM supports Direct TPMS, which is used by some retrofitters here. Which particular 18D BCM series( 086x or 087x) they are using I don't know. If I come to know I will post. Looks like 18D 087H is the most updated pq25 BCM on AliExpress. It would be the best bet.

Re: Patil's little Polo 6R 1.2 Tsi Dsg7 RHD
I suppose that like the BCMs used in Europe, the 086 does not support CCS and other functions, regardless of whether the 18D...086 supports TPMS, so this must be kept in mind in case of BCM change. There are always exceptions, so PR codes help choose the right BCM.
That's why my observation.
---
The best thing is to choose a BCM 090 Max, ...the right PQ25 BCM.

Re: Patil's little Polo 6R 1.2 Tsi Dsg7 RHD
Update on Discover media Polo6R (PQ25)
When we install DM in Polo 6R, we enable 5F in gateway installation list. Along with it, we also have to enable the address 37 (Navigation) and address 77( Telephone) in the gateway installation list for both features to work, though these subsystems are built into MIB 5F address. As a side effect, this led to the appearance of ghost ( virtual ) addresses 37 and 77 in gateway list. This is not a problem per se functionality wise, but these ghost modules can now be permanently eliminated from the gateway list without losing any functionality.
With regular updates of VCDS the Rosstech is bringing, new information(labels) is being known about the existing bytes/bits of certain control modules (PQ25) previously unknown.
My sincere thanks to dear Master Ciclo for sharing this information with me.
How to do this:
1. Enable Byte2 bit 0 and bit 1 in gateway (19 address) coding.
2. Deselect addresses 37 and 77 from the gateway installation list. Save the changes
3. Do a fresh autoscan / refresh gateway from autoscan window.
The ghost 37 and 77 modules will no longer be seen in the scan/ gateway list.

Everything works like before, as if nothing has happened, but 2 foreign bodies have been eliminated from the autoscan.

Re: Patil's little Polo 6R 1.2 Tsi Dsg7 RHD
I wonder because I'm really intrigued what would happen to the Rear Traffic Alert on your 6R (5Q0 radars + DM + 6R GTI IC) if:
1- You temporarily reinstall/connect the 7E0 PDC 8K unit you had previously.
2- You update it to AA version (this is good in any case).
I give you the flash file FL_7E0919475AA_0212_8k.frf in case you don't have it.
3- Activate Byte1 Bit5 in the coding of this updated 7E0 PDC 8K unit, as shown here.

We already know that your RTA works with the 1K8 PDC 8K unit from the tests you did.
- viewtopic.php?p=575428#p575428
- viewtopic.php?p=576530#p576530
By the way, does the RTA stop working if you disable it on your 6R GTI IC?
I think the RTA with 7E0 PDC 8k unit should work on your 6R with your setup, but that's something we will never know without doing this test.
It might be too much work for you right now as you have some projects going on (Troc, New Toyota), so you don't need to do it, this will just serve to expand our knowledge and get a head as big as a hot air balloon.
Well, since my Side Assist has made my 6R R-line 10 years younger
, I might be considering a DM now that we've got rid of a few 'bugs'. I'll have to talk to the wizard Slavik in the next few months.
1- You temporarily reinstall/connect the 7E0 PDC 8K unit you had previously.

3- Activate Byte1 Bit5 in the coding of this updated 7E0 PDC 8K unit, as shown here.

We already know that your RTA works with the 1K8 PDC 8K unit from the tests you did.

Re: Patil's little Polo 6R 1.2 Tsi Dsg7 RHD
Iam in, I will do the tests. I still have the old 8k ops module lying somewhere in the store. RTA works fine with DM and 1k8 ops module. Only thing is there is no audible beeps/ warning when RTA is operating, only visual warning yellow/red on mib. Yes, RTA can be enabled/ disabled via cluster menu. Infact, both BSD and RTA can be independently activated / deactivated in cluster menu's.
Kindly share the new AA 8k ops firmware,I don't have it.

Re: Patil's little Polo 6R 1.2 Tsi Dsg7 RHD
Any progress here?
By the way, I'm looking for the flash file for our instrument cluster... do you have it?
Part No SW: 6RD 920 870 A HW: 6RD 920 870 A
Component: KOMBI H04 0805
I think I have it somewhere hidden, but I can't find it now.

I do not think that it is available on the Erwin files, at least I was not able to find it.
You could try 5C6920874D 818 file using you eeprom backup.

I don't have the firmware of our GTI cluster. But I can get it from my sources if you need it.

Thanks for the tip, I already saw on the net that you were looking for it without success. I have other similar alternatives with the Amarok IC firmware, but I need to have our IC firmware as a backup so as not to have traumatic experiences...til3tsio wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2024 5:39 pm I do not think that it is available on the Erwin files, at least I was not able to find it.

The flash file for our IC firmware was available for a while... now I seem to remember that I couldn't recover it when my laptop's SSD died.
Yes, please, my imaginary Chinese friend can no longer answer my emails.patil wrote: Thu Sep 26, 2024 8:53 pm I don't have the firmware of our GTI cluster. But I can get it from my sources if you need it.![]()

Just a warning,
If you use amarok 1009 or the jeta USA that I suggested,
the security algorithm will change and then you won't be able to downgrade via obd. This happens to software up to 07xx , I'm not sure about the 6RD...805
I have also tried 2h6 1120 but I was not able to figure out the correct wheel circumference.

I agree. I will add that 0805 Sw also cannot be downgraded. This is the reason why I stayed with SW 805, even though I had plans to upgrade firmware.til3tsio wrote: Fri Sep 27, 2024 11:31 am Just a warning,

There are few benefits of 1xxx firmwares though. SW 1009 (Amarok) and SW 1108 (Jetta GLI,NAR) also support TPMS module/sensors.. 5Q0/5Q0, 2H6/5Q0 apart from 3AA/3AA. Additionally both 1009/1108 support KESSY, but 1108 supports all kessy related features& warnings and even detects ELV.
Long back I had planned to retrofit Kessy in my 6R, but later abandoned it. Literally there was no free space left in my 6R for any further retrofits.. fusebox full, door connector slots full etc..
I think..Slavik, Shardul, Nikhil and also iichel have done extensive experimenting with 6R clusters. It would be nice of them, if they share more information on this.
