After our Gti was built I was told by VW “help” line that our car was on one of two ships( maybe half on each?), so I spent a while following their progress on a ship watcher only to be told later that it was on a completely different one.
Also I was told that when it arrived at Emden they would know more accurately when it would leave for the uk.
Never was told any of that or where it may land. First notification was from my excited salesman to say it had arrived and he did a walkround video as well. He was more excited than me I think after nearly nine months of “Find the VW” .
And I never got the letter about the seat belt problem recall.
“ It ain’t over till the Fat German Lady farts” ???

Yes I'd heard Angela Merkel had a flatulence problem. [emoji16]

There are more than enough football finals coming up over the next few weeks that should keep everyone distracted from ship watching

You try and help members get hold of a brand new, just off the boat GTI or GTI+. (I think their in blue), and somebody rather wait another 8 months for their boat to come in??

Still I suppose you must be waiting for a "69" plate?

Mine hits Grimsby in the next week or so. Already at Emden.

Just received the stage 6 text to say car is in the UK, bit late, it’s been here for a week!

Update this morning

Date of order: 4th June 2018
Order number received: 6th June 2018
Order with the factory: 21st September 2018
Build week confirmed: 28th March 2019, build week 19
Car built: 8th May 2019
In transit 5a: 11th May 2019

My stage 7 came through this morning, which is about right as my car was due at the dealership yesterday.

Let's forget that I never received a 5B, 5C or 6 notification!

Just got my "in the UK" notice this morning.

Mine been at Emden for the last week, just had 5b notification.

Mine has been in the UK for a week already.

Dealer just called.
Provided me my reg number and said I should be picking it up either Monday or Tuesday.
Yippeee.
