when you change the inlet manifold, do you need to remap the car or is it a case that you just have more air available and the engine compensates?

car looks fantastic, have you done many bodywork modifications?
Thanks for the comliments! Changing the inletmanifold doesn't require any other changes what so ever, it just has a bigger/wider diameteer, so there is less resistance for the engine so suck in the air/fuel mixture during the inlet-stroke, which means more power  only thing I need to do after putting it on the engine, is to "read" the throttle into the original ECU (resetting the ECU and letting it aquire the settings from this new throttle, since this throttle isn't my original one), but if hoy use your original throttle, this won't be necisary :D

I may have said this before.... but amazing stuff.

You have taken it to another level.

Anyway, i like the colour, but personaly would have to tint the car.. as the colour looks good but i think needs that extra bit of meaness to it. But this is my impression from photos. It could look a lot different in real life than it does from the photo's.

Thanks everybody for the positive remarks, it's nice to know that people like what your doing :D

At the moment I'm quit busy getting it back together, but am taking my time to do everything as perfect as I can. I've got a day off from work tomorrow, working on the car probably all day (first gotta score me some parts from the junkyard  ) and will try to get some pics of the works up in couple of days.

About tinting the windows, already thought of that, also think it will give something extra to the looks, but Dutch law about this is very unclear and the police gives tickets to people with tinted windows almost always (and those aint cheap  ) so gotta think about some more before I decide what to do

tinting just the back tailgate window has quite an effect on making the car appear darker. and they can't ticket you for that, surely!?!

Little updtes here, everything from the doorpanels up is in place and done :D

Image

Sky+ A, B, en C-styles in, all handles (black) in, now alll that is left are a pair of black sunvisors :D

C-styles will stay without belts, since I'm converting all belts on the backseat to hip-belts, this way the C-style stays "clean" B)

Image

Another problem were the colours of the straps you click your belt in. Original Polo straps are red, and Golf's are orange, and since my interior is a Golf mk3 one, the seats have orange straps, while the backseats has the red ones.

Solution, trip to the junkyard and got my some Golf mk3 straps for the backseat. But they didn't fit at all, so Jarno called the firm Self-Constrution, and made me some orange belts out of the Golfs and Polo ones 8)

Image

Left the originel red strap, and on the right the already rebuild one to orange Golf mk3 strap, it's all in the details boys, it's all in the details 8)

Speaking of details, I haited the looks this little thingy in my boot (dunno the english word for it)
Image

But I liked this one:
Image

And of course I also hated the ones that were in my doors:

So I got myself these beauties, lovely aint they? 8)

Nope, only the original shape of the mk4 will stay the same, I guess
Also have some new plans for the enginebay, thinking of cleaning this a bit more, but those are still plans now, they show up on pictures in the meanwhile if they get used in reality

No, that won't be illegal, but I think the little red markers give some "break" int the total black and grey picture, which comes bad in my brakecalipers and drums, which are also red 8)

I got the front-bumper through a mate of mine, he's got some nice connections here in Holland. the rear bumper is from a German company, D&W, and are also for sell through Ebay
