Turtle wax is good for the price and accessibility. If you've got the money though go for Chemical Guys trim gel, that's stuff's great!

Might buff out maybe? Its been poorly touched up by the previous owner using a pen, I reckon if it was removed then a steady hand and a swipe with the machine polisher should make it considerably less noticable?

Anyone got the rear wiper blade size?

Heya Naz!

Seat looks good mate, black looks top. Looks much better with the cupra wheels and I bet you found the steering wheel change easy since you had practice on the polo lol

I'm toying with the idea of doing the bay, similar to Tims but might have to work around the BMC as it sits to the right and could do with moving the breather filter.

Also got a spare 8v front bumper + a spare rear bumper, should I try and smooth it and make an 8v smoothed front bumper?

Hmm quite interesting in this smooth bumper idea, any tips? Got a dremel, fresh tipped soldering iron and a facemask. I think I may need to get some different filler, i've got plastic padding at the moment, would this work?

Ooo very useful, i'm going to have to think of a way to secure the "smoothed" front on without tapping screws though, as I'll be using the rear bumper as the panel itself. if i'm right in thinking, the process would be to cut out the bit where the recess is on the front bumper, then cut out the exact peice but from the rear, this would mean that the new peice sits flush with the existing bumper? I know it sounds complicated, but hopefully you can understand what i'm trying to say

Yeh no makes perfect sense. Much the same way as Kipper used to do his bumpers. Have no idea how successful it is though!

Ah got to be worth a go anyway, mum moans about them being in the way! Pity once its done I wont be able to afford to spray it eh haha. Something to do anyway, worst come worst I might get some money out of selling it.

Smoothed out plate been cut out of the rear bumper, just got to trim it to size and then cutout the old recess. Then its time to get messy with plastic!

Well got some progress here!

Alligned up the old bumpers together, to work out the center of the rear. Cut out an estimation and worked out a rough guide to make sure it was the right fit, cut out the old recess and just got to plastic weld it into place now. Coming along nicely, good to work on something a bit different :) Pics are poor quality sorry! New plate looks a bit wonky but I can assure you that the line and level is perfect

Some pics,
