Yes, definitely not a purchase for the feint hearted. I look at this purchase primarily as a precautionary measure against misfires, but also look at it as a power modification as tests have shown both power and torque gains throughout the rev range. They are of particular interest to me as they provide a much superior spark, which will really help with the water methanol injection system. Potentially I'm looking at a 5-10bhp gain with these in combination with the hybrid and the wmi, so overall the initial expense is high but the sum of the benefits are even higher. :)

Cool! Pretty curious what your experience will be!

Do you live close to Milltek btw? :P If so, say hi to my Polo next week, it will go on transport to Milltek this weekend. :P

I'm over a hundred miles away from Milltek. You having a full TBE fitted? Love mine. The sound it makes is much better than I got from the ED30.

It already has the full TBE, but there are problems with the EU GTI's with the fitting. The muffler touches the left rear shock. So I'm letting them use mine as a demo for manufacturing / adjusting the muffler from the TBE! :D

I like the 5 door polo aswell, my neighbor has a black 5door polo and it looks just as good as the 3door :-)

yes that black one is quite nice....he had to put adapters as the the wheels are 5x112 and if im not mistaken put 25mm spacers as it is et54. He has his project in the german forums.

Went to GTI International today, very wet, very busy and as soon as it stopped raining I used my 4 run passes down the strip.

Best time of the morning was 14.02 with a 5.49 second 0-60. Not as good as I'd hoped, but the surface was very wet and add to that the DSG torque limiter cutting in, it wasn't too bad.

I must say that I enjoyed the handling course more than the sprint. Ended up with a 40.07 second run. The guy on the stand taking down the time told me beforehand that anywhere near to 40 seconds was excellent. The guys on the stand with track prepped cars and racing tyres were managing 39.6 to 39.7, so I was well impressed with the car. However, the guy from Bilstein said if I had set the car up on full hard with the damping then the car would have been just as good as the track cars!!

Thoughts go out to those injured in the sprint crash! :(

I like how you changed the red bits to black on the grille. Personally I'd try and make it look like a base model Polo. Great for surprising people at the lights
