Regards mpg, I think it improved but by a very small margin, say about with 13L of fuel, instead of 180km I do 184km or even less.

When you accelarate hard, it sounds like a pppppffffffftttttt. Not a dumpvalve like sound, but more like air is being sucked in brutally (for a very short time)

what screws did you unscrew to get the cover off?

depends which cover, if you mean the cover of the air filter, there are some screws on top of the cover itself. just screw those and it will come apart.

the k&n 57i is only as loud as you want it to be, you cant really hear anything unless your foot is to the floor!

with regards to getting an induction kit iv not bothered and just changed it slightly and taken the warm air feed off to the filter so only the filter restricts the air flow sounds really deep when u floor it. getting a new filter element soon n e wayz

mine didnt really make much noise on my 1.4 8v untill you where near the red line

then it made a mint noise!
