You're a hard man to please Polosilver.....................

I reckon that until you go and see a car, you never really know.
As for the spec, it depends whats important to you really. I bought an X plater with 40k, FSH, sunroof, side air bags, in dash CD changer (better than the boot mounted one IMO) etc but with no A/c or climate. Lack of aircon did put me off a bit but since buying it, I can't say I'd ever have needed it much (though I do live in Scotland :? )
At the end of the day, its the overall car I wanted (styling, performance etc) and not the odd bits of spec.....

Anyway, good luck with the hunt mate. I can't believe it's that difficult to find one as there's always loads on Autotrader and occassionally on EBay. In fact, there's a nice looking black one on EBay right now...

????? Or if not how much would you say its worth?
Doesn't sound too bad mate. It's got Climate and a FSH. I wouldnt think to much about the VW demonstrator bit. It may have been, when the Polo came out they were a big selling point for dealers even if they didn't make many of them.

Price isn't too bad.

He certainly is a hard man to please! Well i may be going to see my first one at the weekend so will get my 1st test drive! Is an x-reg, 44k miles, climate, 1 owner, £5,895.

Still pondering the black vs silver question though! Like the silver but think the black sets off the silver alloys!

Bottom line is, if you pay £5,500+ you are likely to end up with a top GTi, but if you wait you might be able to find a minter for £500-800 less. Depends what you want todo really. Remember someone will probably take less then you offer also. I know someone selling a silver one with 38k if you interested, think he wants £5,600 for it!
