Hey look... snow on the logo... will it last til march this time round, lets start the sweep again ;)
(sure lasted longer than what fell on thursday)

My xmas... hmm... it was a good haul this year. The best gift was it coming on the weekend so we got 4 full days off work (still kinda full, but at least didnt have to worry about that), and that even though the entire family piled into our house, including 4 small kiddies, it all went off without a hitch. Marvellous. Especially seeing the 18 month old enjoying his first mobile & memorable chrimbo... pure twee-ness.

Materially / Commercially?

An Air Hogz "Illusion" twin prop (its a small polystyrene remote control plane that works a bit like those old Char-G cars... awesome... but needs open parkland, the garden's far too small! I thought it was going to be flyable indoors!!)

A Ulysses 31 VHS from B-Wise... thanks bruv, you didn't have to tell me it only cost you a quid, i'd have just spotted the "216 minutes play time" and been happy :D

Green Day Bullet in a Bible CD / DVD - awesomeness

Large, strong, tasty french beers :P

NewScientist "Does Anything Eat Wasps?" book (SPOILER: the answer is "almost everything does"). Pretty neat.

Big, fluffy, snuggly dressing gown. No more shall my knees freeze of a morning.

Socks. Oh my god, the socks. (And t-shirts, and chavvy jogging trousers, and anonymous-brand toiletries... but hey, free stuff!)

A classic stainless steel hip flask was the works Secret Santa thing this year, a great improvement on the Ann Summers Playing Cards from '04 (i drew my supervisor, and got her a "make your own slime" kit from tesco.. and some seeds for her vegetable garden)

and the usual waistline enhancers ;)

There may be more to come, too... I won't get to see my dad for another couple days thanks to complicated travel things, he hasn't had anything from us either, so it'll be the 25th repeating on us on the ... er... 9th ?? day of christmas

Oh yeah and also the nice present of finding out i'm going to have ta daisy chain some jump leads to get the polo out of nans garage, as it wouldnt fire up last time i went to look in on it (the old "i've got enough charge to slowly crank the motor, but not enough to spark" trick) and there's no way i can get it out by muscle power... genius that i am, i put it in nose first didnt I!

And it was birthday as well today, so even better (more self indulgence!)... a denim shirt (to go with my old, worn, but still brilliant Biggles-style jacket), a Guinness World Records Quiz Pad (for that gap in the drinking where we're too hammered for Twister any more, but can still just-about read), an evil wooden puzzle thing, and some odd dice game called "Spite" which the blurb makes it sound like the ultimate distillation of Monopoly. Plus the universal present: Cash!

heee

There's too many ar5se holes about, the kind of people that wouldn't say boo to a ghost, yet stick em with some chav mates, they're big and hard.
