Nice job, the paintwork looks wet, which is what I try to achieve but always fail (suppose its hard on met silver)

I am into detailing but I dont have a PC. I usually wash with megs gold class, dry and polish with AG super resin, then I wax with megs carnuaba wax (all by hand).

Those wheels look mint, mine are just the same as yours (VW dealership must have sprayed the wheels silver before they sold me the car) do you have the contact details for the company that did your wheels?

I'll second that, the car and wheels looks spot on. If you dont mind me asking how much does your man charge for sorting the alloys? I'm pretty sure he'd be inundated with people from here, I'd deffo have mine done if he was willing if you could put a word in.

a very interesting thread... I've always just washed my cars with a various car shampoos and then polished with auto glym super resin polish.

I've always thought this was all you needed to do.... I've never added a wax over the top of this?? what's the benefit of this? is it something that you need to do regularly? ie. after re washing..

well now the polo is in good condition and nicely waxed it will go for ages and ages without the need for a rewax, i can just wash it down and it looks like new again, i may wax it every 2 months or so, and it will take me about half an hour

Can you do a quick list of all the products you used (full names) and the order mate, im sure everyone would be very greatful.. its quite hard to follow on that other website...

well ok, but bear in mind i used a pc polisher

1. wash
2 clay
3. meguiars #83 dacp (applied with a pc)
4. meguiars #80 speed glaze (applied with a pc)
5. meguiars #21 sealant (applied with a pc)
6. collintie wax hand applied

the interior was cleaned with megs all purpose cleaner, the seats and roof linning were cleaned with autoglym interior cleaner, interior plastics were finished with 303 protectant, exterior plastic was treated with meguiars #38, the tyres were treated with poorboys bold n bright

Out of interest Blue, did you use the regular interior cleaner or the hi-foam cleaner? I recently switched from using the regular spray to the hi-foam and it gave much better results IMO, really pleased with it. Smells good too

i used the regular hand spray (not aerosol tin), but i also used a bit of megs all purpose cleaner in the water too, which helps

Cool, the one I've got is in the aerosol tin, thought I'd give it a shot and I like the results
