Hey guys.
Im sure craig and his family would greatly appreciate your support.
We are arranging flowers yes and also sending over all the get well wishes people have sent.
The flowers are being sent to his family to show our support.
Someone just mentioned your not allowed flowers in hospitals in Germany. So the plan would be for them to pass on the best wishes card/lettter collection thing.
My pay pal is crap so Im going to buy the flowers myself as my contribution then the rest of the money is going to be used to help the family, used against flight tickets, hotels etc.
I know craig used the forum alot more than the likes of me so Im 100% sure your support would be welcomed.
Feel free to set up your own contribution thing or add to the clubpolo one. This isnt one club out doing the other(and im not implying any1 is trying) its one big VW family.
The end product is important here and that is that Craig and his family have our support.
Thanks, Jared

Very sad news

My thoughts are with him and his family. I have changed the thread to an Announcement for maximum exposure.
Unfortunately I cannot donate via Paypal due to a dispute but if you could PM me your address djsimmy/whoevers taking donations I will make sure you get a cheque. As has been said before every little helps and £5-£20 from as many people as possible will I'm sure at the very least help walsh and his family with medical bills/travel costs etc.

*comes back from long hiatus*
Cripes. That's terrible.
ninja edit for not having read page 2 It's throwing me back to cringing in fright at a mate's terrible overtaking skills when in convoy across wales -shudder- worse that it happened through no fault of his own.
Great to craig's making a speedy recovery though, these things can sometimes drag on for months, he'll be up and about and back on track quick-as I bet

Don't know if I ever met the fella but it's always a little more personal when it's one of a group and surely been close to similar disaster before.
(now where's that paypal password gone)

I had a call from his uncle yesterday evening...
Quick bullet-points:
Craig is now back in the UK (he was flown back on Sunday).
He's awake and is improving.
He's probably going to be in hospital for a number of months.
He asked his uncle to call me to thank me for the card I sent from the club, so by the sounds of that, he's much better than he was the last time we heard about his condition.
I think we all need to think positive thoughts about him getting well really soon
I'll let you all know if I hear anything else.
