MY CAR IS FINALLY BACK!!

well i finally got the car back from the bodyshop
but i needed some mot legal lights and these were the only ones i had, so i got sanding
and here's the result
and then i bought a couple of more bits while the car was at the bodyshop, because i was bored and had nothing better to do of course
bonnet bra from autobra.co.uk and i just said i was part of a group buy and got it for £47 delivered, whiter bulbs for my fogs so they aren't crappy yellow and finally some bosch aero wipers which my mate picked up quite cheap i think
and finally here's the car which has been a very long wait, but considering what i paid him i think it is a good job
I don't know if you lot can see it but, my bumpers aren't completely smooth, they have a little buldge to carry on the line that goes round the car, it was the bodyshops idea, and i think it looks sweet

will get some proper pictures up when i get a chance.
and finally these will be going on the car soon as i've won them

Anyway hope you like, remember all comments are welcome both negative and posotive
Thanks, Haris
ps there's something messed up with this thread, there's no page 3!?!? or is it just me

Looking very handsome there (not you, your motor!).
Job well done mate and the Castellets will set the car off. I should know, sold my diamond-cut set to power_plant, then buffed them up to the point you can see your face in em, which I regret now.
Whats next?

looking sweet though i wasnt keen on it in the first few pics, with the extra work on it i love it.. its awesome

Thanks, For the comments guys...
here's a couple of MOT legal snaps with the car up a bit higher and all red rears

He still said it was too low
couple of pics with the bonnet bra on...

not a big fan of bonnet bra's but will be going down the motorway quite a bit so will need it and it doesn't look too bad
And i picked these up today
My mate persuaded me to put them on as soon as we got back home...
But we soon found that my car was too low and they were scrubbing like hell on the front, so they are going into hibernation for the winter and will hopefully return with some lower profile tyres and a strech maybe and some better looking centre caps, thinkin of either porsche ones or these ..
what do you guys reckon?
Thanks, Haris

Cant believe i've only just found this thread! Mate your car's awesome. Really liking it, especially that bra. Only thing i'm not keen on is the rear lamps, i just have a thing for the all reds.

on the bit where u say "he said its still to low" did u mean its to low to pass its mot? cause if this is true it seems odd to me cause my cars about the same as that maybe slightly lower at the back and my car has never failed an mot.

Looking very bling there I must say

, should be bloody proud. i thought the heights an MOT failure only if the tyres scrub or if the bottom of your car looks like it always hits the queen roads (which is illegal to ruin). Let us know what his reasons were cos my MOTs due next month and its dropped a hefty 100mm.
If yours is dropped anything down to 100 then it should be fine with 195/45/14s on scrubbage.

also if u happen to have a pair of dark tinted rear lights spare that u wanna sell i might be interested. im looking for some dark rear lights..... also the 3rd break lights on the mk5's, can u get dark replacements or is it ok just to get rid of it all together?

I don't know why but i'm not very keen on all reds on a green car, although my mate has some dark red tinted lights on a green car and they look sweet
I was trying to explain what a bonnet bra is to my mum and dad, they just ended up taking the p*** out of me
Dad: what are you going to do when it get's wet? hang it out to dry on the washing line?
Mum: No! he can't do that.... can't leave the car naked outside on the road

Oh no you lot have misunderstood me, he said it as a general comment and my car was up about 9-10cm from the bottom of the thread on the coilovers
Btw my Castellets are 15s

1set of 25 supposedly any ideas on tyre profiles? 195/50/15 is on there atm, i want a bit of a strech and 45 profile ideally.
Next will be a nice flush small twin exhaust, was thinking of something like bmw 3 series tailpipes and i still need to get the wheels ready for the spring
Thanks, Haris
