Dee-vub mate the same thing has just happened to me. Was with my girlfriend for 2 years and it was absolutely amazing for the first year, but then things started going downhill and have finally ended She goes out pretty much every night and i always hear from someone who she's 'got with'. It's only been a month but i've seen her since and i definitely still love her more than i've ever loved anyone. I still think one day we'll get back together and make it work, but in the mean time she's moving on while i just sit in all day feeling sorry for myself! I know i should be going out too (and sleeping with loads of women ) but i feel like none of my mates ever want to go out, so i don't know what to do with myself. As gay as it sounds i honestly feel like she's broke my heart, so wtf do i do now, how do i move on and get over it!?!?!

Mate its true the saying "you dont know you've got until its gone"....i neglected the relationship and i ended up being the one who suffered long term.

Trust me i felt like we would get back together aswell, but thats totally out the window! A word of advice! DONT HOLD OUT!!! If its meant to be mate, it'll happen, but dont spend the next year of your life living in regret sitting around! Whats done is done and nothing can change that. just have to accept it and get on with things.

What i found best in moving on was minimising contact a fair bit, that is REALLY hard!! Cos i constantly want to call her, text her, look at her bebo.....but best thing is to get rid of the number and give it some time with no contact whatsoever! Thats what i did, and now we are back speaking and getting on really well also....dont mope around! Another good way is to keep yourself busy, i made sure i was always with mates....always doing something that would have my mind off it. Obviously there are the moments alone, but it does get easier! Trust me, but it will take along time! Thats me been finished with her about 9 months now and i'v only recently just acccepted the fact that its a lost cause.

Tom, that was a lass sarah i was seein at the time. I still speak to her alot and see her all the time when i am home, but nothin to major going on just now....not interested in a relationship just now

Mouse, Just go for it mate if you want my advice. You never know, maybe if she likes you too and would be willing to give you a chance. Plus you don't know how serious things are with this other guy, she might actually be wishing she was with you but too shy to ask! What have you got to lose?

I disagree. Why not have the best of both worlds so to speak!.

I would never suggest being unfaithful behind someone's back, but it can actually be healthy for a relationship to admit to one another who you fancy, and even take things further. BUT your relationship with your partner needs to be extremely stable and committed, for you to even consider 'having your cake and eating it'.

I've had the mis-fortune of having the same girlfriend for the last (counts on fingers!) 5 years, i could have been driving a nice audi coupe or raddo by now, probably wouldnt be so well fed though cos if my girl didnt cook i wouldnt eat!

Totally agree with you marc. Rather than just admire the menu, why not place an order and sample it!

That is definately something that cant be close do being done if your not in the worlds most stable relationship, but it shouldnt really be tried full stop - it just means youve perhaps had enuff of your current partner and are ready for something new.
